I skipped to the end of the PCamer review and it was enough for me to get this, there is no spoiler in the short synopsis but I'll tag it anyway because you guys are nuts :p
Sprawling level design, thrilling combat, and masterful indirect storytelling make Dark Souls 3 the best Dark Souls yet.

I peeled that back letter by letter. It's All clear boys. Quite a statement to make also consider alot of people rate Dark1 far ahead of all other souls/borne games. Although if both 1 and 3 where released today I can't imagine many people picking 1 over 3

Ugh the temptation to read. I won't. I'm just going to buy it and forget about until release day.

Disappointed to hear the world isn't as interconnected as DS1 but at least it's better than 2.

This... I thought it was full on DS1 with a hub but doesn't sound like that. Probably sets it back a bit for me but it does sound like it's better than DS2

Watched a PvP video just there and the Estus drink animation is so fast now, as fast as Bloodborne vials. They seem very hard to punish now, but the upside is phantoms can also drink. Fights be going on forever outside of organised pvp. One day From will get PvP right, Dark Souls 4? Bloodborne 2? :D

That's surprising as I'm pretty sure they patched out estus during pvp in ds2, though it was after I stopped playing so maybe I got my wires crossed.

I see they have sotfs still on their sites so maybe? (I have a gift voucher!)

I really would like that Steel case (Apocalpyse edition with the CD Soundtrack) but its 75 from gamestop and game uk kept cancelling my delivery via PM.

I'm sure Argos will stock it. They stock all new releases and it's where I plan to get it. They also tend to sell new releases alot cheaper than other shops, 15 to 20 euro cheaper in some cases. Don't know if they will be doing the Apoc Edition though.

They will, but you won't be able to view the item (or reserve it) untill they update their website on the day of release.

I bough Dirt Rally in Argos yesterday, the day of release

My first time ordering from them, not with Parcel Motel but even getting it Monday would be sweet!

Notes on the PC Port by Durante (The guy behind DSFix)

No spoilers, I found it an interesting read

For anyone too lazy or afraid of spoilers, it runs really well and scales well on PC. i5 with 970 is capable of 1080p60fps on Ultra

Nice. I've got a ps4 and a pc (i5 & 760) so I'm not sure which one to get it on.

    Anyone got any suggestions?

If you wanna co-op with buddies, play where they are.
If not, the PC should look a lot better.

Agree with heebus, a 760 should be Mid-High 60fps which already has the fps advantage over PS4.

That being said if all your friends are playing on PS4 it would be a bit silly not to if you care about co op

It's perfectly playable on the PS4 by the way. No blighttown type slowdowns.
The only issue is the 30FPS cap. It still looks amazing.

Frame rate advantage is undoubtedly significant enough that I'd definitely recommend PC if you think you can maintain 60fps on even medium settings. Although obviously you have to stop compromising at some point - the visuals deserve to sing too given the series incredible art design.

Scholar of the First Sin ran great on PC so if this lives up to that standard while bringing the Bloodborne engine I'll be more than happy. Although given I've been playing through the first game again, albeit with DSFix, it has a low standard to live up to for me :pac:

I hear there are frame pacing issues as well just like Bloodbourne which really affected the game negatively for me, it makes it feel like the game is running lower than 30 fps.

I heard that alright. Never noticed it in DS3 even though I noticed it in Bloodborne.
