Nine men atleti kept Barca from scoring before. C'mon they can still do this!

(But seriously Diego your teams discipline is always on the brink when it doesn't need to be)

F*cking Spanish teams. There is doubting the technicality of the game but if I have to watch another player roll 12 times after feigning injury I'll go mad.

Its not even that, its the 12 minutes it takes for them to get off the floor afterwards.

Iv been watching this game for 5 mins (switched from Benfica) and the referee has got every decision wrong.

    Another laughable decision against Neymar.

(How many fouls did Torres do before the 2ns yellow?)

It's the sheer anger they show when pretty obvious calls go against them (correctly), tiresome.

And the surrounding of the ref. that wrecks my head and does nothing to increase people wanting to take up refereeing.

Atletico are a team of hatchet men ,a red card was inevitable.
    W

As a neutral it annoys me so much as it only shoots them in the foot. It's just not necessary.

Atleti need to get to HT unscathed so they can reorganise properly..

Atletico doing as well with the ball as they are without.

One that the ref played advantage to, one trip and then the tackle that got him sent off.

Atletico making this a tough one to watch.

    Everyone behind the ball.

    Right tactics mind you.

Very hard to break down, and they are leading, so it's working. Not up to them to make the game exciting for the crowd.

You could see it coming a mile off. If I was an Atleti fan I'd be absolutely fuming with him. It was the manner of the fouls, all petulant, no attempt at winning the ball.

Athletico have played very well. Restricted Barca in attack apart from the Neymar headed chance.

Superb goal from Torres but then he was just so dumb with his two yellows. Absolutely no need for either of the challenges and gave the ref an option to send him off.

They aren't pretty to watch but getting the result so far.

    Torres an absolute idiot.

Have barca had a shot on target?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 26,578 ✭✭✭✭Turtwig

    Why Torres? Why!?

That was almost a perfect half for atleti. Neymar should have done better but Barca were stifled superbly.

    More of the same please.

Well I thought the first 5 mins might set the tone for a horrid cagey game that would suit spoilers Atletico to a tee but then it opened up and then Torres does that and ruins the game! :pac:

Still they are doing well keeping Messi and esp Suarez locked down, if there is a team that knows how to defend to death its AM.

Anytime they play Barcelona its a tough watch ,they are their bogey team.
Its nearly always a scrappy game littered with fouls and few chances.
    Not one for the neutrals.

Barcelona are very poor tonight it has to be said ,Messi in particular looks like he isnt trying a leg.
He needs to liven up a bit ,he was useless against Real at the weekend too ,strolling around the place ,barely breaking a sweat.

You can talk about the 2 Torres fouls being cards all we want but if you're refereeing the game in that manner (which I've no problem with) Suarez is off and Busquets is on a yellow.

Atleti have been screwed over in that the rules have only been applied rigidly to them.

Does Lennon think the cookie monster is playing or is that his effort at saying Koke?

Going by the refs logic busquets should have a card.

Never got to see a replay of the Suarez kick out. Certainly looked like he did but Juanfran didn't go down or complain any bit and the ref was looking that way so maybe he didn't actually kick near him at all.

As always Barca getting a helping hand from the refs, Uefalona moniker didnt come from nowhere guys. Bussquets gets away with a worse tackle than either Torres and Suarez is well being Suarez but as usual getting away with it and people actually wonder why fans dont like Barca

Suarez to score and be sent off in the 2nd half, and complete the 'Liverpool double'?

Such a pity Torres was sent off.Perfect performance so far from Atletico (apart from the sending off), you could have seen them getting a second with 11 men there is almost no hope of that now.

Hey all, quick question. Anyone know where I can stream the CL Barca game?

Currently watching it on TV3player and it keeps downgrading the quality after a few mins to a bunch of pixels.

I've missed the two incidents for the sending off and all the half time highlights due to the fact it returns you to adds when you refresh. Might give feedsback to TV3 after but at the moment I just want to watch the game.

Anyone got a link? Thanks in advance.

P.S. Unfortunately the tv in hotel I'm in isn't working.

He's probably off the Man City anyway :P:P:P

If Busquets was in an athletico jersey he would be sent off now.

Busquets shouldnt be on the field now if the ref had been consistent.
