Yes, it's Birmingham, and every time I see videos of the way they have to work to get in to that runway, I wonder at how some of the aircraft types seen in this video managed to get certified.

The scariest to watch is the Dash8's, I've heard from several people that they are a "handful" to fly, watching them in action at the limits only serves to confirm that feeling. The ATR's are not much better, and a couple of the Embraer arrivals were "interesting".

BHX is such a kip to land in, in bad weather. Runway QDM in wrong direction for prevailing westerly winds, vicious wind shear and an undulating runway.

That is a really interesting aircraft actually! Max ceiling 50,000ft, range of nearly 4,000km.

Forget landing gear, this lucky tourist almost found out the meaning of landing ear when a plane skimmed the top of his head while taking a photo.

As the light aircraft came in to the Gustaf III Airport in St Barts, one photographer tried to capture an once-in-a-lifetime image.

Plane spotter Sébastien Politano caught the incredible scene at what is considered one of the most dangerous airports in the world, renowned for its difficult landing strip.

The photographer in the white t-shirt was crouched and primed with his camera when the aircraft approached the Caribbean runway.
