Macbook Finder Problem

    Hey Everyone,

can't seem to find a straight answer about this, basically my finder window opens but then when I click on a folder / file its not highlighted and the screen doesn't switch to the new direectory. If I force quit it from the activity monitor it works for a while but then is right back to the same problem a few minutes later.

Does anyone know what might be causing this?

I've attached a screen grab to show it in the middle of freezing.

EDIT: found a solution to this rm ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.finder.plist && killall -HUP Finder

Running that command in terminal reboots it all and its working no problem now.
