Been to every county. Kerry is unreal for scenery. Kilkenny has some great pubs. The north is..
the north. I have a soft spot for Carlow but that's for another day!!

I've been to all 32 counties and a fair few islands. I would love to get to Tory though.

Kilkenny, Carlow, Waterford and Wexford are the only counties I've never been to. I've also only ever driven through Offaly and never stopped in it. Laois I honestly can't remember if I've been though it or not.

I went though a spell a few years ago of having our annual holiday in Ireland and tried to see most of it so that's how I've been all down the West coast and though Tipp and Cork. I'll tale a spin down to the South West at some point when I save up for the petrol.

Kerry, Cork, Kilkenny, Galway, Clare, Mayo, Derry, Armagh. I'm sure there are a couple of other counties.

Everywhere except the islands. I'll have to go to the Aran Islands one of the next times I'm home.

I've never been to Sligo and Donegal - those wild atlantic way videos make them look the business. Have they got surf?

I've never been to Cork, it's just too out of the way down there. Would like to see our second biggest city *cough town cough* sometime though.

Monaghan is the only county I have not been to.

Surprised by the amount of people not been to many of the NI Ulster counties. They're places that everyone should visit at some point. Belfast is a brilliant city, very friendly, great bars and restaurants. The North coast is spectacular, the Giants Causeway in particular are somewhere that everyone should have an opportunity to walk along. Some of the little coastal towns like Newcastle and Portrush are lovely places to visit also. Derry is a place I grew up very close to but never spent much time in at night, we just shopped there which it's great for. As for Tyrone my homeplace it's a really lovely county with something for almost every taste.

Don't be put off by history or a bit of bunting/flags up on the way though towns. By and large you'll never have need to stop in those places anyway.

That was the last of the counties for me. I went to play a poker tournament, and then again a few times for more poker.
Nothing like lovely green felt to give you a true feeling for Ireland.

Never been to Tyrone or Monaghan. Re Donegal, stay in the Inishowen Gateway, go to the Drift Inn, eat there, go out to the smoking area with a pint of an evening on a nice summer's day and watch people tackling the last green at Buncrana Golf Club, lovely.

    Rockall..... seriously.

Luckily I had parents who very much enjoyed their holidays in Ireland so every summer we travelled the length and breath of the country carrying our tents or our caravan. There are plenty of parts of Ireland that I have been but i was too young to remember though, like Donegal.

Ireland has 32 counties. Whatever your political affiliation Ireland refers to the Island of Ireland and every other person in the thread got that apart from you. I wonder why that is?

Also, Tyrone is far from Barren wasteland. You clearly are full of crap here and are most likely trying to WUM. The Sperrins are spectacular, Gortin and other glens and forests are breathtaking, There's Dolmens and stone circles, wonderful lakes and the likes of Barnscourt.

Fermanagh is another beautiful county, I wouldn't be as familiar with it as Tyrone but it's a very picturesque area.

Trying to wum in various ways. First reply in thread refers to the 26 counties. Second reply asks why people are including the 6 NI counties. Slagging Tyrone as being a "barren wasteland" was just the third piece of evidence you're trying to WUM.

Honestly, it's not a political thread so can you cop on.

If unspoiled beauty like that which makes up large parts of Tyrone is defined as barren wasteland then your opinion means less than nothing.

Only county on the island I haven't been to is Monaghan. Not in a hurry to go there.

I have never been to Ulster, Connacht, Kerry or these counties in Leinster:
    Longford, Westmeath, Offaly, Louth.

I have to go to Kerry soon, then I will have the southern half of Ireland covered.

You know that you'll probably not get a nosebleed if you go up past Dublin or Limerick.

You have to be going to Kerry to be in Kerry and it's just way off my radar

    Not anyone's opinion, just yours.

I've pointed some of the many beauty spots in Tyrone. You've either chosen to go with your ill formed opinion that can only be based on not having seen much of the county or not bothered to look at the areas I gave you.

Can I ask you, is this barren wasteland in your opinion?

I can't say too much considering I've not been to KK. It's 100% on my list though.
