Before I head and venture into town and prevent a wasted journey, is it a normal day for shopping in galway city?

    Are things open as usual?

It probably will be 50/50. I know that M&S, Debenhams and Anthony Ryan's are all closed today. Best to check the websites of the shops you are interested in or wait until tomorrow.
