Just wondering if it's possible to switch to the US app store in order to download a free app on my iPhone?

Ive already a credit card set up with the Irish app store so I don't think it's possible...but I said I'd ask here first.

    Thanks

Certainly possible, email needs to be different and you need a different payment means i.e. US credit/debit card or an US iTunes voucher for the initial account creation I believe.

Oh right. Don't have a US credit card or US iTunes voucher however.

If it's a free app, you don't need to register any payment method to set up the account with a new email address. There is an option to select "none" as the payment type when you set up.
