    My reading in on that is that his was entitled to 10% off his sentence because of his guilty please. Therefore the 6 years would have been closer to 7 otherwise.

    His actual time served will now depend on whathever way remission works in the UK. If he was here is it 25 or 33% he'd be entitled to if he "behaved himself" inside? Even at 33% that's 4 years in the clank.

    He knowingly groomed and had sexual contact with an underage girl. He most certainly not have gotten a year a minimun IMO.

    Nothing to do with his sentence obviously but he also had the arrogance to mislead his employers by telling them he would plead not guilty so they would let him play so he earned a lot of money while he was awaiting trial.

    That's what the judge knocked off the sentence before it was handed down. What he serves and how much time he gets off for good behaviour and other factors is only decided during the term of the sentence and ongoing reviews.

    Everything I don't like is either woke or fascist - possibly both - pick one.

    That's what the judge knocked off the sentence before it was handed down. What he serves and how much time he gets off for good behaviour and other factors is only decided during the term of the sentence and ongoing reviews.

    Adam Johnson has NOT been stripped of his England caps, I understand. Comes after his defence team told the court they had been removed.
