Well folks, it's official, the boom is back.

Someone in the Lidl carpark today abandoned their trolley with the euro still in it! I could hardly believe my eyes when I found it - the extravagance of it all

It's surely only a matter of days now before the shopping trips to New York and apartments in Bulgaria are as common as they were.

So AH, what small signs of people losing the run of themselves have you noticed?

The boom is back alright. You only have to have a look at Bargain Alerts, bottles of champagne and 4k TVs.

I'm pretty sure the trolleys in Lidl are €2, but there was only a €1 coin in it. So I felt slightly gypped that I only got half the free money I should have.

Certainly feels like the boom times with the struggle squeezing onto public transport during rush hours and queues getting in places in Dublin on nights out.

Me local 7/11 have started rounding up/down malarkey because they don't want the small change no more.

Aldi trolleys are €2. Lidl Trolleys are €1.
Proving the theory that aldi is like lidl for people with notions.

Dammit slug, sorry to hear that.

If I had known, I would have chosen you as my €1 hooker, obviously.

The last time I left the pub I didn't even swamp what was left of my pint.

I don't see any sign of any boom anywhere. Was that not just election propoganda?

    No its not back.

I had an old negative depressing cnut of a housemate, I met randomly on the street tell me "no recession in your house".

Its any wonder she's on two days a week with that negative attitude.

Forget about Bulgaria, follow the examples of the Norwegians, now an affluent and intelligent nation. They either buy for their retirement, property in Gran Canaria or rent for six months every year from October to March. There is a large community of Norwegians, many thousands living in the small town of Arguineguin in Gran Canaria. Must say that the Norwegian people are a very nice race with much in common with the Irish. Be warned that the affluence of the Norwegians have driven property prices sky high. Still in my opinion if you want to retire in Europe, Gran Canaria is the place, there is a micro climate there, I believe it is listed as having one of the top three climates in the world.

The Forum on Spirituality has been closed for years. Please bring it back, there are lots of Spiritual people in Ireland and elsewhere.

    The boom is back alright.
Twas only the other night I'd a few pints....in a pub!
I'd forgotten all the social do's and don'ts.
I was on the verge of ordering a virgin martini on the rocks from the establishments barkeep but before I did, a kindred spirited gentleman barkeep with a telling eye offered me assistance in the form of a "what pint are ya having here now boy" question.
Memories jogged I remembered that it was pints I used to drink and promptly got myself a Hop House 13 pint.
I presumed the 13 was a reference to the alcohol percentage.
    I was wrong.

Every other person I met this week asked "where are you going for Easter". Yep, the boom is back. They were heading for Andorra, Italy, Vegas, and Barbados.

I saw a crane the other day too. For a second I thought we were being invaded by the Imperial Walkers from Star Wars, but it turns out they're just building a swimming pool.

For anyone else who forgot what they look like, this is a crane.

Why was everyone down on decking?
Always thought it was very useful.

That's not as a result of the boom, that's downright fcuking greed.

I just ordered 1,000 containers of Iroko decking from Malaysia, decking for all.

People are paying it, so no different to the inflated rates of the boom times.
