    Hi,

When I watch Netflix or Skygo on my 2010 iMac the video is very jerky / choppy.
This happened before but somehow resolved itself.

    Any suggestions?
    Thanks.

Ok. This could be all manner of things, with all manner of causes, so a few things to consider.

The most likely root issue is some sort of constriction on the data side : either on the Mac its self (it's network device, driver, or some other app like a VPN), your network (e.g another device or interferance) or your ISP (who can shape or throttle traffic based on usage or contention). Have you tried some thing like: http://www.speedtest.net/ it should help highlight any general issue. Narrowing it down can be a pain - trying from a few devices can help, etc

Another possibility is a video playback issue on the Mac - can you try a local video (MP4) and see if that's the same?

    This works perfectly.

I have a newer iMac, I will try it on this later.

    Thank you for your reply.

I tried the age old trick of switching off and restarting my iMac.
    Problem solved :)

    Coincidence? I'm not sure.
