Battery Question

This may seem like a really stupid question but how do you charge a lipo battery?
I got a nine eagles visitor 6 a while back and I lost the battery and charger. I found a replacement battery on radiocontrolledshop.ie but can't see any chargers.

Look for a suitably shaped USB cable. Well, one end looks like standard USB, which plugs into a smartphone charger and the other end connects to the battery.

That wont really be a good idea. It wont work. The phone charger is a 5v charger. The lipo battery needs a charger suitable for charging lithium polymer batteries.

A phone uses a lithium ion battery, but the lithium charge control setup is in the phone. Not the USB charger.

Looking at the pictures of that model on google, it seems to use a single cell 700mah battery with a jst connector. Lots and lots of chargers will work for this, to pic one or two examples locally:

But any of the bigger Lipo Chargers with will work grand with a JST adapter and set for 0.7a charge.

That one will work, but might need to make up a lead to connect it to the battery.

One of these JST leads is probably all that is needed to use that charger, which can then use the phone usb charger. Or any powered usb socket.

Actually you would need the male micro losi plug as well which is like these. Cut the female plug off, and join to the red JST linked above.

Possibly better off with a charger that does bigger batteries too, if you ever think you will expand into other models.
