    Coisbo Four Russian Imperial Stout

First time trying this lovely stout. Some caramel and dark fruit falvours and an all round delicious stout.

Well if Paddy's Day isn't a good enough reason to crack open a Diving Bell I don't know what is. I think I preferred it when I had it on draught as it was a little smoother, but it's still a magnificent beer.

Siren's Broken Dream. A very nice stout. The more I have from Siren, the more I'm impressed by the brewery.

I've been getting very lucky with their stuff in the bargain bin in McHughs lately. Have tried 3/4 of their beers at this point and none have disappointed.

    Brewdogs Ace of Simcoe.

If you like Simcoe hops you'll love this.

Lots of pine and grapefruit smell and lovely bitterness.

Really looking forward to the Brewdog Elvis Juice and the Siren too.

Had that siren last night. My word it's a Beauty.

Nogne Ø Two Captains. Had been saving this and was looking forward to it, but am a bit disappointed. Strong alcohol taste, and a lot of hops but not much else going on.

    My first Grätzer styled beer.
    Oak smoked beer from Northbound.

Not bad different from what I've had before.
It's not as smokey as I would like but good to try something different.

The Smog Almightly is very nice.

Having a Brewdog Jet Black Heart here. Really like it. Might be a bit sweet a stout for some though.

That Handsome Jack is a rather handsome looking bottle. Very nice label.

I'm after a bottle of No Joe, and I still have a World's End to open. Grand night for strong, black beer.

The brown bear , brown ale from aldi has a weird taste. I didn't say anything about it to the other half but she mentioned it has a medicine taste.

    I thought i tasted TCP.

    Not my type of beer.

Godammit, the aroma off the Elvis Juice is so good.

Chocolate truffle stout. Amazing stuff. Only complaint is I can can get a 'grainyness' from cocca powder.

Also why do the PH insist on a 2 stage pour? It annoys the f**k out of me.

that grianyness would put me off, I hate it in my own cooking even.

To be honest, I wish chocolatey stouts would fcuk off. Trouble Cosboi collaboration is the latest rubbish to get between me and my cask in The Bierhaus, Cork. Not happy!

Had 2 glasses of 200 fathoms on draft last night, rather enjoyed it...

Finally got round to picking up a few bottles of Black's World's End. Why haven't I had some sooner? It's a fantastic stout. Just the right amount of vanilla and chocolate, and the 8.5% is well hidden. Looking forward to some more next weekend, hopefully from a cask.

    :pac:

The bierhaus needs more cask options to run concurrently tbh.

This is not a chocolate stout problem.

It's necessary to get the head to sit above the rim of the glass. They'll pour it in one if you ask though.

Siren's Caribbean Chocolate Cake - outstanding. Quickly becoming one of my favourite stouts.

O Brother's No Joe. I was very impressed by Joe and I'm even more impressed by this. Well balanced, fullish bodied with lovely roasty malts.

I tried a bottle of Clever Man Ejector Seat Turf Smoked Stout.
A nice stout, but I was struggling to taste the smokiness, maybe it was too cold

You need ti have it almost at room temp.
There is loads of smokiness in it. I really like it to be honest.

Yeah I got the smokiness too, mellow enough but definitely there. Nice stout imo.

Their 'american pale ale' tho was gack. Tasted like bad homebrew. I'm guessing it wasn't supposed to be like that but reminded me of the early days of craft over here when you'd get off bottles regularly enough.

Tried a couple of lagers last night, Porterhouse hersbrucker pils and Mont pils, both nice bitter lagers but the Mont had a bit more to it imo

Trappistes Rochefort 6. Gorgeous. I wish I could get their beers at Belgian prices!
