It's not an exact science but white BB & Angus cow would quite likely give a mousey coloured calf.

BB on a limo will prob come (black/blue) and white with a red sheen to the hair.

I read some were before that a blue/white bb brings a black calf from a Angus cow and a white bb bull would bring a blue and white calf or is it the other way around??

It's possible that the AA breeding would cause the calf to be fully black from an AA but it's just as likely to come any colour. It's like trying to predict the weather, you can have a fairly accurate guess from clues but it's still only going to be a guess.

I know!! Like one of those comedy films. I was in Aungier st though so maybe that's where I was most of the time. Was only in your college on the sports sign up days with the mountaineering stand.

Was it Larkin College where yu would use the climbing wall?

Stamp duty is charged on the purchase of land and buildings, not livestock or machinery

Can someone remind me what the story is in relation to spreading urea if the soil p&k index is at 2, I'm not sure but is urea not effective if the p&k is not at index 3?

What a balls of a day. Neighbour rang me to pull a calf, handled cow and the calf was upside down and took me a good 10 minutes to straighten him. Got him out any closely flowed by a torn womb. Cow dead 20 minutes later, don't know if it was my fault or not but I was careful enough with the legs when I was turning him, when I handled her first the legs weren't in the passage but pointing up vertically into the top of the womb so maybe she had the damage done herself while she was forcing. Was with a friend then in the evening and his uncle rang him and said he was after being attacked by a cow out in the field and that his leg was broken. Rushed over to there and he was ok but in a lot of pain because he got a dig into the ribs aswell. Ambulance came and brought him to hospital then. Very lucky the cow went away from him after that and he had the phone with him. One of those days when nothing went right.

Anyone put in a VAT reclaim lately?

Last time I did it, I got a response back in about 2 weeks, but that was 12 months ago or more...

Sent in form a month ago now, and nothing back yet...

Got a bit of a fright earlier, am still a bit iffy so stayed at home tonight. Looked out the kitchen window and seen lights of a vehicle over at the old yard and homeplace. Currently have a rotavator rented out and hadn't a clue where Dad had it left for the night so ran over fairly sharpish.
Some strange fella up working on one of the vintage tractors for my uncle, why don't people mention these things, I like to know who's going to be traipsing round the yard at all hours of the evening!!

LC, fairly crappy day to have as right. Likely that the cow tore herself and she wouldn't have pushed it out herself so don't beat yourself up about it, you did your best! Could have been much worse if it was the other way round though. Been a couple of tragic incidences here in the last few weeks. Two unnecessary deaths, from an animal and a gun going off on a fella while going he was going over a gate.
