Full strength side in the champions league.

    Can't just fûcking give up.

What Spurs did the other night was shocking. I would have been raging if I supported them

I'd agree, play your strongest team especially for the 1st leg!!! A lot of the time when teams prioritise one competition or another like that, it backfires in the most spectacular way. If Spurs went on a bad run, it's not beyond the realms of possibility for them to fall out of the CL places which is exactly what Poch was trying to prevent. That said Arsenal are already out of the CL. Wenger gave them a 5% chance but that's being generous at 2-0 down against the best team in the world.

I'd still be going with a strong team but resting one of Elneny/Coq and not playing Kos if he's available.

But it'd have to be really attacking. We'd need to be scoring 3/4. No Alexis, when he gives the ball away it will take about 10 mins to get it back.

    Something like

    Ospina
    Bellerin - Mert - Chambers - Gibbs
    Coq - Ozil
    ----Walcott - Iwobi - Campbell
    Giroud

Resting Monreal, Kos, Alexis, Elneny, Welbeck (so they all start today if available)

Fully expected city to win their game in hand, be 7 behind Leicester, and be their main challenger for the title. Crazy season.

The best days for Arsenal are the days we don't play on!

To be honest, if I don't see Walcott for the rest of the season I'd be happy. It's bad enough that a few others are having a dip in form, but no matter how bad they are they tend to play some role or have some impact on the game. When Walcott has been playing recently it's been more like playing with 10 men if he is on the pitch.

A few stats taken from the Swansea game sum up Walcott recently (taken from arseblog):
63 – Minutes played by Joel Campbell
131 – Minutes played by Theo Walcott in the last three matches (Swans, ManU, Barca)
56 – Touches by Joel Campbell today
34 – Touches by Walcott in the last three matches
33 – Passes by Joel Campbell today
21 – Passes by Theo Walcott in the last three matches
18 – Passes by Joel Campbell in the Swansea final third today…
4 – Successful dribbles by Joel Campbell today (of 5, led all players)
0 – Successful dribbles by Theo Walcott in the last three matches
3 – Shots by Joel Campbell today
1 – Shots by Theo Walcott in the last three matches (today was his first shot since Hull)
2 – Chances created by Joel Campbell today
1 – Chances created by Theo Walcott in the last three matches (also today)

Looks like we have a great chance to win the cup again this year. If we do, hopefully Wenger does the right thing and step down on the back of that high of winning it three times in a row. Its the highest he can go out now imo.

Yeah, that's my point. City messed up their game in hand.....didn't expect that.

I agree. I even posted the exact same stats in this thread a week or so ago.

But we've no hope against Barca. And if we have any hope it's a 100 to one shot and relies on them being a bit defensively naive and it being a massive pitch.

You'd be hoping Walcott has a good game for once.

Basically we're going to not have the ball for long long spells. I think if we're going to score it has to happen(or we win a set piece for it to happen) within about 20/30 seconds of winning the ball. We have to bypass the midfield.

I know I'm just so nervous seeing our first team players starting in anything but the league at the moment.

    Delighted with that lineup.

Need to get the job done today. Better start well.

All this talk of 3 in a row is all well and good, but Jaysus, it's not going to be easy. Everton and West Ham are very dangerous, and we defo can't take today for granted.

Despite the result at OT the other week, I'd be more afraid of West Ham.

With 2 weeks between league matches, you would want your players to be playing.
