I've been thinking about this thread for a while and I decided to create it today. Post your most recent motors related purchase :pac: It should be a nice way to share decent bargains (wink wink GvidoR) with others

I got a circular polarizer (CPL) filter for my dashcam today. It wasn't cheap coming out at €20~ but it reduces the dashboard glare on the windscreen.

30/40 springs, brake hoses and a steering linkage. Steering linkage to be fitted later in the week.

Next will be new tyres, new downpipe/intercooler pipe and possibly injector tips....

At least, that's what the eBay listing said. In reality:

Today two 245/40 R17 Falkens arrived in the office. They're to be fitted on the back of our CLK320. Never had Falken tyres before and decided to try them for an experiment :)

Can't tell anyone much about them yet other than they have a nice stiff sidewall and they fit under my desk :p

You should be able to get rid of the glare entirely, by twisting the polariser a bit. It should go from completely eliminating reflections to being useless as you rotate it on the lens (assuming it works the same as CPL's on camera lenses).

Arguably the most important criteria when purchasing tyres. :P

Today I got the car serviced. Yay. :(

Set of rear TRW discs, pads and brake hoses.
Rubber grease already ready and waiting.
Must get some brake fluid as well.

Yeah I wouldn't be surprised. The screenshot I did was my initial test. It's really hard to adjust it on a small screen like that. I did more adjusting and tacked it into place with some hot glue for now but I think I will need to get a mini-HDMI lead and plug it into a TV to be able to totally get rid of the glare.

Still, it's miles better than it was before and removes the glare from the A-pillars at the left and right sides which would make reg plate really hard to see normally.

Pick up this in hallfords this morning.

My buddy is taking my car from work to do other side of bushings and will pop this fecker in. Hopefully no more Justin Bieber on the way to work and back or I will drive my car in to up coming traffic.
Still kept booking in hallfords for Sunday just in case if this radio overheats and won't work properly due to alfa dash having issues with ventilation.
