Im Still here you BUMS :pac:

Firstly well done to Nate,I was a fan for donkeys years (I have but it went out the window for the scheduled 2 mins,he is a true martial artist and warrior took everything Conor had with a plump and kept going, his volume style of boxing and power I underestimated,(all this on 10 days notice)

Secondly to the morons who believe every promo Conor cuts that finally have their first day in 3 years they've been waiting on,fire away I've had my fun for years now December was really the cherry on top of it all,so do your best bring back every quote he made and post it up with a few smiley faces,

thirdly on the actual fight, the muppets thinking his ground game lost him the fight please go and educate yourselves he was a beaten man shooting in desperation a panic wrestle move if you will, also saying he needs to leave sbg and so on,give your head a shake it got him to the pinnacle of mma koing a p4p great to win gold,4 world title fights he won,

I feel a combination of Nates good boxing and chin,Conors winding up trying for that one big ko and the pace of the fight sealed his faith, simple wasnt good enough his lack of power was evident,he landed flush plenty of times that would ko any 145er argubaly a lot of 155ers but it wasnt to be Diaz the better mixed martial artist simple,

Hopefully the McGOAT war wagon has lost some of the bandwagoners now and we go again STILL FW undisputed World Champion dont forget it!

Miesha barely has a mark on her. Conor sitting down now. With the belt! Champ!

I'm no expert but I thought Conor looked a bit casual from the start.

Even in that moment just before a fight I didn't see Conor doing his usual moving about just before the bell rings.

I thought he really struggled and couldn't seem to reach Nate at all with his punches -the height of Nate seemed to trouble.

    Any truth in they folks?

I'm getting the vibe off Diaz that he seems to think he's on another level now. Gonna be trouble in paradise when he realises that he's not really the new star of the show and he's back on a 75/75 contract.

So you dont think that SBG as a gym and Ireland as a nation have been hugely successful in the UFC already?

Do you realise how many MMA gyms/clubs there are out there that have never had, and never will have fighters in the UFC?? Not to mention having a champion???

We are a tiny nation of 4 million people and we have one of only ten ufc world champions. In fact I would say per head of population we possibly have more UFC champions than any other nation on earth.

Thats pretty impressive in anyones book.

Good point. Its easy to forget that Ireland only has 4.5m people whereas the US has 300m and Brazil 200m. Those countries have much larger populations than Ireland

Agree and disagree Conor has lead the way and unfortunately John Kavanagh is his coach, off course thats a plus and minus in that maybe he has led Conor towards this inevitable downfall while also doing well.

He has made a lot of money, and that for me is the consolation in this story but Conor showed tonight he still is super talented, just isn't super-coached.If he had an even half brained coach he wouldn't have tried to jump to 170 to fight a big LW like Diaz who cuts from 190 and will easily outweigh him.

This is what pisses me off the most,i can accept if he is not good enough but tonight it boiled down to Conor being too small and Nate being too big,Conor dominated him but Nate was just too big for him and Conors coaches bear some responsiblity in this for allowing this fight to happen.

Diaz is in a stronger position now, I'd say he'll be getting a pay bump next fight

Reading this thread the last few days was hard work. The amount of people giving Diaz no chance was a joke. And now we'll have to read nothing but excuses about the difference in size.
It's ok when it's the other way round though.

People blaming Kavanagh for this needs to take a seat and have a chat with themselves.

    `
He will but nowhere near what he thinks he'll get. Unfortunate truth for him, as much as I like him, he's not a company man like some and it goes against him.

I think he was on 50/50 or something like that. He wont get much more than 100/100 next time around i reckon.

Another headline fight with a 500k/500k payday, a percentage of PPV and a shot at a tittle I reckon.

Please take a leaf out of Conor's book and be a little humble. You're coming across as an awful ignorant prick here.

His base pay will be nowhere near 500k. and he wasn't even getting 500/500 for this fight. He got a flat 500, no win bonus.

    UFC will screw him again.

He has to take some heat, its a coaching teams job to bring a bit of realism to the table surely?

Nate made a million for winning + a percentage.

Conor got 1million to show and would have got another million to win, and a much larger percentage of the ppv buys.

If Nate fights RDA in a headline fight for the title next he'll get the same deal

They are fair points but lets not forget Conor and JK are on the same journey together. They are both relatively new to this level of the fight game. Conor is big on loyalty and he has been on an unbelievable winning streak with JK as his coach so why would anyone change a winning formula like that and go dump their coach. Its easy to say that JK should have advised him not to take the Diaz fight in hindsight but at the end of the day these are 50/50 battles and Conor had proved remarkably efficient at coming out on top of late.

I wouldn't say casual.. more like relaxed and a bit overconfident. The height difference being an obstacle. no surprise there but he landed some good shots they just weren't game changing.
He didn't approach it the way I thought he would. I was expecting a lot of attacks to the lead leg and body then eventually begin to work the left in round 2.

He got a young lad who quit mma,to get to the pinnacle of the sport and promtional game, helping him win 4 world title fights in the process and amassing a fortune securing his familys future

    Useless coach alright.

Not blaming him, I think the 'jump camp' talk is silly and premature. But I never really liked Kav's cocky attitude. Like he's trying to mimick Conor.

Nate made a million for winning + a percentage.

Nate made 500,Plus ppv cut was what he made,Conor made a million flat first fighter ever to do that, plus ppv cut.
