    What's her demographic? I'm guessing woman 25-50?

I don't know of many male fans.
Yeah, women in their 20's and 30's who only buy one album per year.

Nothing to do with that. Lot of respect for where she has gotten to. No denying she has a great voice and seems like a nice person.

I just don't see the appeal and wonder what the makeup of an Adele concert is.

Apart from men brought by their partners it must be 95% women.

I find her songs very moany and depressing to be honest. I don't like that accent she feigns when she sings either, seems to be the done thing these days with lots of singers developing the same accent. Paloma Faith, the Late Amy Winehouse and Sam Smith for example, what's the story with that!?

Anyway I don't listen to her and try avoid her music. However I cannot say that it's bad, just very very Bland. That's one thing the British really do exceed at, blandness.

Now I am sorry to say this, but the fragrant Adele is a larger lady. Good on her she doesn't give a fig about that.

She is not one of those wimmin singers that are oh so sexy and contortionist with the minimum of clothing on stage either. So the male variety might just not see the value in going to see a matron in a big frock with a whiny voice about how her ex left her forever.

sorry everyone, but some might see what I mean here.

There was a decent documentary about Amy Winehouse on the telly last night. The Adeles and Duffys of this world pretty much rode in on her coat tails.

Yes actually I take back what I said about Amy Winehouse's accent, I think that was her real voice, but ever since then singers like Adele, Duffy and Paloma Faith have been doing their best Winehouse impersonation.

She should never have split from Maxi and Dick.

I think you will find that most men are not fans of the music of the Beyonce's and Rihanna's of this world.

Maybe, but it wasn't their music I was referring to!!

I know what you mean but I think most people judge an artist on their music. To me anyway as a fan of music looks don't come into the equation.

I can see how image is important in the teeny bopper processed poppy stuff but Adele doesn't fall into to that genre.

is there any act/band supporting Adele in the 3Arena concerts??

They meant male fans of her music. Nobody is bringing her weight into it in fairness.

Ah I know that, and I did say it wasn't important to Adele's career in any way.

I suppose in a sexist way (slap on hand for me) I was trying to figure out why males are not fans much.

Not begrudging her fame, wealth, popularity etc. Fair play to her for achieving what she has and if you're a fan great.

I just don't get it. Is it me or is every song a slow, piano driven dirge lament about a lost love ? Get over it Adele. Then again if its making you millions go for it. People reported in tears at Adele concert ffs.

What do people do at an Adele gig ? Stand around crying while the other half watch it through their smart phones ?

Who goes to Adele gigs ? Must be either couples or gaggles of women. Can't see 5 fellas deciding to head to Adele of a night out.

Middle of the road drivel. She's the current Dido.

Damon Albarn tried to write her a few songs. Tried to get her to push her boundaries somewhat. But this might have meant selling a few less records so she sent him packing. Says it all really

No supports, and no drink allowed in the arena while she is performing.

Starts at 8 and ends at ten.

She knows what she is about here. Fair dues.

No, that really doesn't come into it. She's just boring.

You'd have to be some sad sack to be paying money to see some "singer" because she's half nekkid on stage, tbh. It's the age of the internet after all.

I don't get her appeal at all and now that I think on it, any fans I know of, are women in their 40s and 50s (who adore her).

OK, glad you put me right on that anyway.

My sexist ways will have to stop right now.

I think he got cross with her, he said the material she suggested for a proposed collaboration was middle of the road crap. He didn't want to put his name to it.

In fairness he's not really a great artist himself.

O men will go and pay money to see nekkid wimmin alright, just not 50-60 Euro to take a goo from the back of a stadium with no drink while having to listen to insipid shite.

At the same time, I wouldn't doubt there's a few sad sacks out there who would pay to see girls aloud etc for that reason. Although in general, this wouldn't be the case as you rightly say

It always amuses me how people of all ages bitch about other peoples musical preferences.

People into rock or bands seem to be the greatest exponents of this immature attitude.

Concerts don't have be all like Live Aid you know.

In fairness he's not exactly Roger Waters himself.

He is somebody who had the balls to grow and evolve even if it meant alienating a certain section of his audience, switching up genres and moving with the times. Unlike other bands of the time he had to sense to know that Britpop died in 97.

I don't blame him. She plays to a very specific audience. She'll never evolve as selling records and money is god to people like her. Not a real musician in my eye's. Appeals to the manufactured commercialised x-factor audience
