Conor really looking rattled in this interview can the in house experts break this encounter down.

Was just about to post that, what an awful interview!

don't mind all the trash talk but the money thing I can't stand
congratulating diaz for him making him a millionaire funny enough though but the rest of it I'm sick of but again it might be another way of getting into an opponents head
on the other hand you see him going into that fans house over there and you forget all the rest and appreciate him more

I think at this stage he's built up this persona with the money etc. and he plays up to it, especially to his opponents in the lead up to a fight. It's really an image he has to maintain now. But when you see him interacting with the fans and thanking each of them after a photo or whatever, you can tell he's grateful for the position he is in now.

Fight week can be a bit mad but I've no doubt he'll show Nate due respect after the fight, as he always does.

Good ****ing Christ these McGregor threads are unbearable during fight week. Hopefully it will be the same as always with the usual suspects running off with their tails between their legs straight after the fight once again.

Roll on Hunt vs Mir Sunday fortnight.

Really surprised at the hate for Conor in an Irish forum. He's a sporting superstar. Pure box office. His product is entertainment. Yet here we have lots of high horsers moaning but still consuming the product.

I love Conor. I love his focus, how he has his body flowing. And most of all, he has more gritty determination than 99.99% of Irish people.

CNBC interviewing 2 UFC fighters trying to hype a fight is the most chalk and cheese interview ever. What was the motivation to ever set that interview up from either the UFC and CNBC? Who interviewed them after that? The Nature Channel asking them questions on their carbon footprint?

Hilarious interview all the same tho.

Calling Diaz's finances into question too while he himself was singing from the rooftops he was on the dole before he made it. if he hasn't forgotten where he came from then why is he slating your man for being broke?

Can he not just be the best fighter ( which he probably is ) and keep his mouth shut.

And then this chap will have a tri colour thrown to him after the fight by the " Netflix and chill , cheeky nandos brigade" who flew over to watch him .

I admire his athletic prowess, his discipline , his dedication to his profession but **** me he would give a disprin a headache.

He has also inadvertently turned into the pied piper of Irish knobends.

You can take the boy out of Crumlin but you can also take the Crumlin out of the boy.......I wouldn't be particularly a big fan of what he's coming out, more recently anyhow.....used to be quite amusing (some of it still is) but this talk about burying bodies in the desert and calling himself El Chapo, a Don and half a wise guy ......he's gone full Hollywood

It's his act, I'd imagine he's a different person off camera to people that know him - still confident for sure, but not this bull****.

It's actually funny , especially the end :D:D

That is the most ridiculous sh1t I have ever born witness to, surreal, if Salvador dali made an interview, it's like they are all in on it, I fell like I am on candid camera just watching it. Is that real? Am I freaking out, man I knew I shouldn't have smoked that ****.

Of course not. I know some people are just MMA fans. But if you're not consuming Conor's product then why watch the press conferences and then come onto a thread to discuss it?

Out of all of the areas on boards.ie, the biggest amount of dick measuring contests play out on this forum.

Wtf guys? Enjoy the fight and the run up ffs. Conor looks in great shape. Mentally, physically, and tactically. Nate is no bum, but I'm looking forward to seeing Conor execute his craft and I think this will play out a bit into an enjoyable night.

    Oh he punched someone's hand.

Quick someone call the fun police.

That's fairly serious actually - Diaz's hand was clenched. Ask a mate to throw a full force hook at your clenched hand and see how it feels the next day.

Diaz is a pussy and he had it coming. Conor the master of mind games. He is mcGOAT and will slay the bum diaz

People using Conors words as if they are their own is hands down the most cringy thing when it comes to the new MMA fan.

Ah the blow ins have arrived you'd know its fight time

Lads they fight in a cage for a living ffs they dont have to act humble and respectful if they dont want to,if you have a problem with their antics dont tune in vote with your feet im sure they dont give a rats if you dont watch tbh,

That's like saying rugby players smashing into each other off the pitch should be accepted. It's silly. They are paid to compete in the cage, not outside of it.

For a man people hate on they sure do go out of their way to discuss him, incredible really despise him yet seek an mma forum and discuss him,I despise many footballers yet I dont find my way into the football forum to share my thoughts on them,I vote with my feet and dont tune into sky sports and put money in their pockets.

It will be very interesting to see how Conor gets on with a guy his own size. How he'll get on if Diaz actually catches him, if he'll just brush it off like he did against the smaller lads.

Now he's thinking about fighting Lawlor. It shows just how much of a joke it is him fighting at 145.

He's fought lads his size and beaten them. In the FW division.

If he can make the weight without issue, then there is no issue.

Who gives a flying **** though? What the **** were they being interviewed about finances, on a business channel, on fight week. Absolutely ridiculous interview, I'm amazed both men didn't walk out a lot sooner. Complete bull****.

Right lads. I'm going to tell you's all what's what here.
Ye's all havint got a clue. I'm after visualising the whole lot of this and it's going to end with Gamebred getting a black eye. Justtheone will run off crying, Nao will get the one punch and hold his face the rest of the night and myshirt and Gallag will end up shifting.
Morale of the story is there is no moral!
Yas are all a pack of girls really and not one of yous would last a round on a combat fight.
So keep all your knickers together and talk nicely to each other!

    I've doubted Conor before.
There's no arguing with what he did to Aldo and Mendes and all the others.
But Diaz is a totally different prospect here.
He can box, he has reach and he knows how to use it.
He's got a chin, he's been TKO'd once is it? And Conor is going to come up from 145 and knock him out ?? Doubt it.
Conor is gonna take a lot of punches in this fight,
IMO if Conor doesn't finish it early he is in for long night and will probably be knocked out himself if it gets passed the first 2 rounds.

But it's gonna be interesting to see what the bulking up and no weight cut does for Conor.
    That's the Unknown for me.
Don't know what that will do for him.

I think it's gonna be his toughest fight yet tho and I can't wait to watch it.

So if a team that you didn't like was playing your team you wouldn't discuss the opposition or even watch the game?

Is Connor McGregor the Denis O'Brien of MMA or something? Do we need to impose a gag order on any negative posts relating to him?

Gamebred you fanboyism is bordering on fanbuming at this stage and it is sad to see such a respected, wise and golden boy poster of the MMA forum reaching such depths. I am disappointed in you. I think I speak for the entire forum when I say; we are all disappointed in you.
