    Hello,

I am new to this! I have a query in relation to job opportunities in the Rep. Of Ireland.

I am a youngish London based Year 1 primary school teacher. I have worked in this role for 5 years and I am now deputy principal at my school.

My undergrad was split between education and psychology before then obtaining my PGCE from St. Mary's Twickenham...... Now here's the tricky part!! I have fallen for a lovely Irish boy here who is also a primary school teacher (NQT) he harbours great ambitions of returning to Ireland to work when he is fully probated within the UK and I want to go with him and give it a shot and live in the countryside!

I love my role within the classroom, if I go to Ireland and seek employment will I only be allowed to work in special needs as I obviously have no knowledge of "Gaeilge?"

Can I take an entrance exam on Irish and would I have a hope of passing?

Will the fact that I have risen through the ranks quite quickly be of any benefit to me??

All opinions wanted please please please! 🙈ðŸ˜
    Thank you!!

    Becky
