Best power to mpg ratio

Hey guys

Just a quick question to get everyone's opinion on what you think the best power to mpg ratio car is out there. Have 13k to spend looking for something 200bhp plus. Petrol or diesel not really fussy

Thanks, looks like a great option really. 2008+ with the lower tax of €667.

op check the below link, there is actually a really good spead here of 535d...

the tax saving is E750 a year, the premium the 08's are looking for, I wouldnt be paying it...

As far as I'm aware the 530 has a single variable turbo and the 535d has the 2-stage setup with sequential turbos

Twin turbo, bigger injectors, larger intercooler afaik.
