    This thread is really long, so I'm not sure if this movie has been mentioned....I'll give it a lash anyway :P

    Man is bankrupt. He pretends he's ill so he can reunite with his estranged family/wife and move back into the family home. His offspring were child prodigies in different fields but are now experiencing a post-success slumps as adults. Family find out man is lying and he's kicked out of the household and once again is estranged from family. Man realises he wants to make a mends with his family and arranges for a divorce from his wife so she can re-marry. On day of wedding, man rescues his grandchildren from crash and is welcomed back into the family.
