How the fuck is what ROG said about Earls relevant in a Leinster thread?

    Answer: It is not.

Well, his article on Keith Earls staying in Munster was:

RONAN O'GARA: Keith Earls has priceless commodity: Loyalty

what has that got to do with anything? He was very loyal to a 3 year contract from the IRFU. If he only got offered two he was going to be very loyal to Saracens for three years by all accounts.

    Heaslip, SOB Toulon rumours
    BOD flirted with Biarritz etc

What is the decision to make? It's Henshaw's decision, not the IRFU's. You haven't elaborated on what you think the IRFU could have done.
That is some grade A begrudgery.

There's a few lads in here that would be delighted if he were off to their province, instead they're in this thread talking nonsense.

    I'm done.

Yes, a 3 year rather than a 2 year contract!

From what has been said he turned down huge money to stay with Munster. ROG said in his article that he had tried to put a package together to see what it would take to get him to Racing.

Its nothing to do with Leinster really other than its about a new player who has just signed for Leinster.

imo, Henshaw had shown no loyalty to his home Province.

Much like every player. I wouldn't claim otherwise.

I've been away for the last two days. Assume nothing important happened?

    Good! So Cardiff on Saturday?

The difference between say SOB, BOD etc (even Heaslip), they actually had put a bit of work in making Leinster successful. If they wanted or needed a big payday with the sun on their backs, you couldn't begrudge them that.

Henshaw isn't giving Connacht anything back.

Sure all Munster players are salt of the earth, pillars of the community and all round good people. It's those sorts from Leinster, Ulster and Connacht that have an evil streak and disloyalty in them. Ronan O'Gara's comments are further proof.

You missed a huge announcement dude.

    Contract extension for Michael Bent!

I don't think Henshaw owes Connacht anything. They haven't been playing him just to develop him, he's been one of their best players for a few years.

With Moore gone and Ross nearing retirement, that may end up being a really important signing.

BOD was flirting with Biarritz before Leinster got remotely close to a HEC Henshaw is making a career choice.

You're 'done' because you don't have an answer lad.

The IRFU is making decisions for nobody.

BOD was flirting with Biarritz because having spent 6 years with Leinster, he thought they would never win anything.

That all changed when Cheika became coach.

Henshaw hasn't given Connacht a chance.

Bent has turned out to be quite the nice little signing for Leinster. I'm delighted to see him continue to sign on.

I think its disappointing when they finally seem to be going places and could do with him next season for the Champ Cup, that he is leaving.

It's professional sports though. Sure it'd be a nice story if he stayed, but you can't begrudge him wanted to move to a bigger club for (possibly) more money. Especially if it suits his personal life.

I'm not saying I any answers but I have an opinion but some here prefer to put posters down.

Take it to PM with me and stop the childish replies like the ones quoted.

    Most notable one is Healy.

Hmm not sure I'm happy about this. I fear Henshaw's being there could hold back Ringrose (who has the higher cieling imo) and could lead to Ringrose going abroad.

    Henshaw at 12
    Ringrose at 13

I dont think its signing thats going to stop Ringrose developing.

If that's the plan then I'd back it. No I agree I suspect he will be head hunted eventually but hopefully he gets a chance to establish himself with Ireland first.

EOS made a point on sunday after the england game that maybe he wants to, and feels he needs to, play ERCC year on year and feels he is more likely to get that at Leinster. This has been an awkward season for the pro 12 with the world cup providing huge disruption for several teams who are usually much stronger while Connacht had only 2 [?] players away. Only time will tell.
Eos said simon zebo had a good game against wales!!!
