It's a more specialised job and not something most mechanics would take on. Give these a call http://www.leitrimmarinepropellers.com/

Hi Fergal thanks for that.do you no if a perpeller should spin when out of the water or should it only spin in water.

A propeller will always spin, in and out of water.
    What engine is it?

Yep if it's not in gear it will spin, are we talking about an outboard, outdrive or shaft driven, on outboards and outdrives it will also turn feely in one direction when it's in gear where as shaft drive's would be very hard to turn in gear and still quite stiff to turn when not in gear, if the prop is turning and the shaft is not it will more than likely the keyway on the shaft a cheep and easy fix.

It's a 6 Bert sport cruiser v8 Chevy engine.starts on the button but when I rev it the perpeller doesn't spin but when I turned it off I spun it by hand it's not stiff or anything it's free.so do you think that's not a big problem
