Why would mahrez get the 3?

Surely 2 goals > 1 goal and 1 assist ?

Granted the bp allocation has always baffled me.

Mahrez will be judged as having gotten the winning goal and also a clean sheet bonus. That should edge it for him.

Silva, Mahrez, Aguero(c), Simpson on bench - have certainly had worse early KOs!

On my WC I just went for Simpson over Huth, who would have been benched in his place today. I would have been fuming - and commiserations to anyone who did.

It's all in the rules. Defenders only get 12 BPs for a goal. Midfielder get 18 and Forwards 24.All get 9 for an assist.
So 1 goal and 1 assist for Mahrez = 27BPs
2 Goals for Huth = 24 BPs

I'm surprised it's that way round, you'd think it would be the other way, i.e. lower points for forwards, and higher for defenders, just like it is points wise.

I think he's far more likely to stay on the bench. Spurs should win this, why risk him.

Aguero with goal is 12 points.
