His pace is only dangerous if he can time his runs which most of the time he cant, and the odd occasion he does he seems to mess it up

But it's not happening for us on that side so we have to change something.

Have a feeling we'll be 4th by the end of the night. Same old same old it seems.

As is the general doom and gloom around here.

Nice to see some of the 4th place posters back in here tonight.

Game is poor enough. If a change was to be made in the center, I'd nearly take Ramsey off before Flamini. At least Flamini is dropping back, covering the backs and showing for it. The only noticeable thing I have see Ramsey do is kick the ball out while under zero pressure. The only reason Ramsey will stay on though is because Coq offers more defensively and neither Flamini nor Coq would have the same attacking impact as he would going forward.

Campbell hasn't been great, but at least he is tracking back and looking to get involved and I'm not sure Walcott would offer the same given the form he is in.

Absolutely terrible game, we have had the two best chances though so that's something. As has been said already, Bellerin and Campbell have been poor. I'd be reluctant to put on Walcott straight away though.

I really hope tonight is the last of the Flamini/Ramsey partnership, sick of watching it as its not good enough to win the league. That sitting midfield position really isn't Ramsey's best, he's a lot better further forward. Is a real headache for the rest of the season with Santi nowhere near close to coming back.

Good urgency about the game and a good bit of pressure on the Southhampton goal, but they're defending well. They have looked dangerous too when they came before Cechs goal but so far so good. If just a little bit more poise was there in the final third Arsenal would be 1 up. Going to be a tight game, but all will be good in the end. Don't get all this stuff here with this guy is cr@p that guy isn't good enough bladibla. Are people expecting full domination and walking every single game or what? Seriously.

Dont think people are expecting full domination just seems the same players making same mistakes and same bad decisions, gets a bit frustrating at times

Obviously not but we have dropped 7 points out of a possible 12 in our last 4 games so its understandable why people are frustrated.

No not expecting to walk anything but we're not expecting to be in 4th place tonight either!!

This is the type of pressure game we can expect from here on in. Let's se what we're made of.

Walcott has been in that form the last 5 years

Southhampton are a tough side. Fonte, Romeu, the whole defense are big boys who can handle themselves. Beast of a goalie. Wanyame, Ward-Prose, Mane, all strong and good on the ball. Was never going to be an easy game.

This referee is a clown, how didn't he book Romeu for the last challenge alone, I'll never know.

Wanyama is so strong. Romeu still not booked

Mertesacker looking mighty relaxed on the bench there.

Oh great apparently Theo is coming on :/

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,609 ✭✭✭KaiserGunner

As is a regular occurrence at the Emirates involving opposition goalkeepers, the referee is allowing Forster take an age to take goal kicks. I also counted 15 seconds where Forster held onto the ball, thought ya were only allowed hold it 6 seconds ffs.

No, we nearly always beat Stoke at the Emirates.
