Is it just me or are we still a bit short in attacking options? With Theo in abysmal form and Welbeck only coming back from a serious injury we are relying on goals from Sanchez and Giroud. If we dont win the lge this year serious questions have to be asked about Wenger and our transfer policy.

    Isn't that normal though?

Like last year Chelsea were reliant on Costa and Hazard for the goals.

A massive DDOS attack managed to take Boards.ie off line for a few days. The after effects of that attack, and the steps taken to minimise further attacks, are still causing a few knock on problems. The fact that boards is back up at all is commendable to be honest.

You can see more in this thread here.

Anyway, haven't posted here in a while, but hopefully will get more time to go to the games now, think I'm getting a slight handle on this "parenting" thing.

Regarding scoring goals, it was a big discussion at the start of the season that we don't have a 30+ goal a season striker, so everyone has to contribute.

Problem is, who is there outside Giroud and Sanchez?

    Walcott? Way out of form.
Welbeck? Will be eased back in, surprised if he contributes 5 goals.
Campbell? Might get 5 or so goals.
    Ox? Doesn't score.
Ozil? Gets in good positions, should get a few more goals.
Ramsey? Will get a few, but at what cost defensively?

Bit of a worry really. A couple of seasons ago, Liverpool and City got 100+ goals in a season. Look at our team...how could we get remotely near that?

It will be interesting to see how Pep gets on, its easy to move to a filthy rich club but now he will be managing a team that have more than 3 or 4 really tough games a year.
Our business is done for this window anyway, any players of note moving around in the premiership?

Think we're on for 61 goals at the current rate.

Debuchy has just joined Bordeaux on loan for the rest of the season. Good luck Mathieu.

Happy for Debuchy he was a bit unlucky in his timing arriving just before Bellerin became a legend, that said not sure we can do without him, bit light at RB now.

Sanogo is leaving Ajax and going to Charlton on loan.

Can't find it in me to be happy for a guy that wants to leave Arsenal

I doubt he wants to leave. He wants to play.

Well if he wanted to stay he went the wrong way about it. Saying you are "desperate" to leave isn't a sign you want to stay

He's right to leave,He needs to impress if he wants to make the French euro squad and knows theres not a hope that he is getting in ahead of Bellerin.
Id think less of him if he was happy to sit on the bench and collect a wage

Be extraordinary if that wins us a league. Massive game tomorrow, anything other than 3 points would be a catastrophe.

    haha knowing our luck...

Don't know why we let Debuchy go. Our backup Chambers isn't really a rb, touted more as a centre half or even a central midfielder. I think we should have kept him as cover, as already been said it would be our luck that Bellerin gets injured.

I don't think it will be detrimental to our season, but it is an unnecessary weakening of the squad.

Yes. Another 6 weeks, unless that has changed again.
