New Mac, security breach?

    I got myself a new Mac machine, set up a new Apple ID, set myself up with the usual email security confirmations.
    Within a day I got an email that this ID was used to accept GarageBand on a new device (I don't own any other device). Also for some reason in Apple account country/phone code dropdowns the default country is Romania.
    Is there something going on?
    I changed passwords and set up two step verification.

    You could check with Apple Support - ask them to check if any IP addresses outside Ireland were used to log on to your AppleID.

    Click here https://getsupport.apple.com and choose the AppleID section.

    Could be someone with a similar email address using yours by accident. I keep getting emails from playstation.au where someone with the same name puts my email in.
