Theo is gone to the dogs.

That 1v1 summed him up perfectly

What has he done that is so bad? I missed the first half, but he's been fine in the second. Beat a man really well just before, only he and 1 it 2 others in the squad can beat a man like he can.

It's more to do with his finishing ability. He promised so much more than what he has turned into. Gets into great positions and wildly swings at the ball putting it in row z seems to be his speciality.

His confidence is down at moment but he is one of the best finishers at the club.

Think we need to cut him some slack.

Gabriel and Chambers combo for next two games?! :(

I don't think Kos did his hammy, think it was the tackle, think he was stood on.

Jaysus we do love to find a reason to feel down in here.

All in all a good run out lots of players back and a win, delighted with today

I LOVE theo. Pre that injury he was brilliant...since he's come back there's something missing from his game, he always need a few chances to score but he did get plenty of chances. It's just every game I watch he gets one or two clear cuts and messes them up. Confidence? He can finish....just not lately.

If he is injured, I'd keep Debuchy. He played very well at centre half when he was there last season!

Well naturally given Mert is suspended and now Koc pulls up we are going to be somewhat apprehensive about the state of affairs at centre half potentially for the next few games. Other then that it was a good win but as far as I'm concerned nothing should come at the cost of what is a very very winnable league this year

All in all, very positive day! Into the next round, Sanchez looking good after the return, Coq looked great as the game wore on, Elneny really grew into the game and looks great and Ospina got a game!

Only down point at the end was I thought Ollie looked very ordinary against a well organised defence and the worry about Kos. But overall, very happy!

Are we another forward short? I know Welbeck is coming back but will take a while to regain full fitness.

Sure hope so. Looked like a classic hammy injury on the stretch, and that's what he grabbed after

Jeysus I hope so, I didn't notice that and at the time I just thought he was stood on! F***, now you have me worried!

Mert is back for Southampton. Yes, he got a straight red but it wasn't an aggressive tackle. Professional foul is only 1 match.

Happy with Elneny but he doesn't look like a DM. Win in the bag, let's worry about the league again :p

He is not a DM. Hes more of a box to box midfielder a bit like Ramsey. Although hes versatile enough to be thrown into a defensive mid role.

As the lads on Setenta said today, it would be hard to judge on today's performance where he was probably trying to make an immediate impact in the cup. I'd give him another few games in the league before deciding what type of player he is.

Happy enough with today, looks like we actually have some strength and depth at last again. Elneny and Iwobi look handy and it's great to see the injured players coming back.

Elneny seems to have a good engine on him, was always running

    He looks good

Solid debut for Elnenny, only thing was that he lost nearly every 50/50. I expect him to be a squad player.

That's what I noticed too, gave up possession a lot. That said, he improved as the game wore on. Maybe it will take a bit of time to get used to the English game... He impressed me especially in the 2nd half!

Interestingly, a lot of media reporting that we have been in contact with Madrid for Isco.

Been away on the continent for a few days and haven't kept up with us so did i miss anything?
Heard on the car radio that we won today so will watch us on MOTD.
Hoping we have a new signing too.

    Happy with today. Very happy.

Beat a decent side, Coq back, Alexis scores, both have a game under their belts, Ozil & Rambo get well needed rests.

And Walcott will defo score next game he plays. He's done this a million times. A few bad games, we all question him, he bangs in a few, we all ask is he finally gonna be amazing. So he's due a few.

    All good today, lads.

Edit: great to see Chambo get a lovely goal, and Elneny a decent run out too.

Only bad news is that it's about time a few of Spurs, City, Chelsea went out.

Not The Pool or United, though. I want another chance to beat both of them.

Walcott form is more than worrying, he needs to see a therapist and shown various pictures.. Like a goal, what do you see!

    Interesting piece about Elneny yesterday.

Nice to go from an injury crisis to having Coq, Alexis, Rosicky, Arteta, Elneny all available.
