Am i right in saying that's 2 years in a row they equalised against us about an hour into injury time in their gaf?

Not too mention the last minute penalties we gifted them in the cl when Babel earned it and when eboue gave away a 95th minute penalty in the league about 4 years ago.

Wenger is a company man. He's not going to be sacked ... ever.
Now if he retired which I can't see happening for years to come then someone will have been picked beforehand.
I never heard of any of those lads either. I would actually prefer an English manager who would bring a bit of grit into the side. By that I mean someone who's already in the Premiership.

Sampaoli is over that tenacious Chile team. I wouldn't mind him tbh

There are always going to be options out there for Arsenal, especially as long as we remain a CL club, which is the only box Wenger has to tick. Simeone, Sampaoli, and Pochettino are all on Chelsea's wish list, according to The Times today (along with Deschamps), and I agree that either of them would be a great fit. But I can see Wenger getting another three-year contract and sticking around at least until 2019/2020.

Think he stepped down the other day. Plays some incredible football with Chile but hasn't done anything outside south America really.

    Aren't we always? :p

Makes a bit of sense though given they now have 4 first team quality strikers. Surely somebody has to make way. A man can dream!

cutting it a bit fine on time if we were to get Morata, we can but hope I guess

Would Morata really be a big improvement on Giroud though?

It'd strike me as a bit of a waste of £££s. If we're going for a striker you'd rather spend big on someone like Icardi imo - the potential to develop into a world class striker and is completely different to Giroud. I think Morata's had his chance at Juve and the fact they're bringing in more strikers is telling.

Jesus lads Liverpool are dire how did they put 3 past us:(

I never understand comments like this. It happens in football all the time, teams don't always play amazing football every week. That's why people watch football, it always has a level of unpredictability (except when Arsenal play Chelsea).

Just imagine Bayern fans sitting there watching an Arsenal match. "Jesus lads, Arsenal are dire. How did they put 2 past us?"

Some people were happy with the result against a terrible Liverpool team.

Oh I'm sorry for criticising the team for not beating a very poor Liverpool team when we are meant to be title contenders.

sure going by your logic no team is open to criticism seems every team can loose.

Everyone should be a happy camper regardless of your teams results.

No, that's not my point. No problem being unhappy with the team, or critical of their play.

You are criticizing the team based on how Liverpool played last night. Liverpool played well against us, but by your logic they must always play badly?

Liverpool are playing badly on a consistent basis.

Why is it they played well against us?

    Same with Chelsea.

Anyway when is it ok to give the team a bit of criticism?

Whenever you want, as long as it's not based on how our opposition played in a different competition on a different night with a different line-up.

    because we are crap

Disagree fully. We're not crap. We're inconsistent, and we have had a lot of injuries that upset the balance of the side. Granted, they are returning now, so we'll find out how good we really are for the run in. But I disagree we're crap

Against Liverpool where we went ahead? That's "giving up" before the game even starts?

Against Chelsea, Mertesacker's brainless red card ruined any chances.

Against United, we were 3-0 up within 20 minutes.

    Giving up

I think Welbeck coming back is gonna be huge for us

Going to be a very important player for the run in I think

How so? He'll offer decent cover but that's about it imo.

Walcott is playing so badly, I really hope Welbeck coming back gives him a serious wake-up call.

Welbeck can offer more going forward, defensively, in the air and with his workrate than what Walcott has been showing.

People who find Walcott frustrating want Welbeck. :pac:

And that people believed that, once everyone was fit, Walcott would be better than Giroud up front :pac:

Welbeck still couldn't finish his dinner and has a way worse first touch than Walcott.

How many games did he play through the middle? Could've sworn I remember him starting well.

I'm not saying Welbeck is a better player, but he's just as capable of not scoring goals as Theo is right now.

Welbeck offers a lot more in other aspects though.
