Format & reinstall - what to know?

    Going to format & Einstein my Mac. Has a. Couple of bad sectors, would like a clean install.

    What should I be doing first or remembering?

    Do a time machine backup. Buy an SSD. Download the latest OS installer and create a USB boot disk. Install SSD. Boot from USB. Recover documents from Time Machine during install. Make coffee/tea and a sandwich. Enjoy !
