Take your pick of 190bhp screaming Yamaha goodness for €1500 :)

still a bit of an under-rated car imo if you want good performance on a budget. Or you want a well spec'd coupe but not an e46.

    Thats it

There is quite a bit of demand for 1l automatic cars out there

What does it need for the NCT? You should easily get your asking price, maybe a bit more, with a new test I'd have thought.

    My ads on adverts.ie:

Victron stuff for sale, Multiplus-II, Quattro, other inverters and batteries and usually some watches!

After picking up an immaculate Corolla saloon this evening over in Donnybrook. Unbelievably clean, totally original stereo, wheel caps, dealer sticker and plates etc. Delighted with it

Nothing bates an oul Toyota :D

    Proper workhorses!

Two coming to see it this evening apparently. If it sells it sells & if it doesn't I'm not concerned, it is a very handy car to have in the fleet

We had a 1998 Corolla liftback in the family at one stage. It had a 1.6 4A-FE engine with an automatic gearbox and full cream leather interior.

Rare enough spec  Pity it was green :pac:

Plenty of nct and id imagine a little bit could be gotten off. Looks genuinely clean too.

    Or

    https://www.donedeal.ie/cars-for-sale/peugeot-306-d-non-turbo/11001001

    perfect for veg oil?

The non turbo one will be painfully slow, it would have the same power as a 1.2 car at best.
Best go for the petrol one at that point.

Agreed. Slow but reliable and will give mpg that the petrol can only dream of.

The ad is full of guff (e.g it's not an M-Sport, but an SE with M alloys, no front, rear or side skirts that were part of the M-package - had one I know what they were fitted with) , but on paper a 80k miles 520 with a years test on it for €1495 seem a good deal.

Reg is 01-d-88261 (he forgot to cover the NCT cert). Seems to have been imported in 03.

I contacted him about that car and he said he doesn't remember if the timing belt was done or how many owners are on it. On his website it says it had 8 owners and he told me it had 3. He told me to call him back as he wasn't in the office to check. Kind of put me off it which is a shame as it is a lovely car.

Bonnet was painted at some time too. Actually it looks like the passenger wing and door were painted too. Hard to be a 100% from those pics but I'd put 50 pence on it.

    Cheers for that!

Another one bites the dust! Really wanted that Saab in Cork! Looked a beaut!

    Not sure about the exhaust..

    https://www.donedeal.ie/cars-for-sale/honda-accord-dsl-2-2/10829535

Claims of timing chain and turbo both being done.

Could be legit all the same so it might be worth a phone call to him. Maybe the amount of owners stated was a typo.

They are 140 and not 160bhp. Id want proof that the chain was done and also the oil pump chain as thats the one that fails and not the other one. It would be madness not to replace both.
Id want to have the exhaust manifold checked too and also id ask the seller that the passenger airbag recall has been done.
If yea to all then its a bargain

I owned the bastard for a year. Most painful year of my life.
I even had to have all the injectors recond... If the chains haven't been done id be walking away.
    Its a very expensive job.
And the airbag thing must be done, it could kill the passenger. Takes about 30mins
