I had this amazing (and gigantic) bat necklace which I liked a lot, and which I got mocked for relentlessly in the fancy tennis club. I am ashamed to admit that I don't know where it ended up, I'd wear it again

Those tracksuit bottoms with the poppers all up the sides. Looked cool but they were a magnet for messers to rip them off.

Grey Dingos jeans with the leather trim around the pockets.

    Kangaroos basketball boots.

All replaced by Joe Bloggs when the 90s dawned.

In the '90s, I had an undercut and a centre-parting.

I wore a black pleather dog collar complete with huge silver spikes for about 6 months...

My mother got a hold of it and now produces it on family occasions for a giggle!

Combats with the strings hanging out of them

All the rage I'm the early 00s.

I'm showing my age now but I had a thin leather tie which were all the rage back in the 80's (I think!) and I thought I was real cool until I tied the knot too tight one day and I had to cut it off! :D:D

Grandad jumpers from Penney's that kids wore from the beginning of time until the Celtic Tiger came and we got a bit more choice!

Hate looking at pictures of me as a 4-8 year old in the early to mid 90's, awful looking shyte I had to wear!

Kids are pretty lucky these days, even the cheap stuff in Penney's now looks pretty good in comparison.

Wearing a skirt over a pair of trousers. The skirt was actually attached to the pants, it was one piece of clothing. I adored it at the time :pac:

I know this dates me :o - but platform shoes.

FFS, they looked awful, you could hardly walk in them and yet we thought we were the dogs balaerics. Combine it with flares and a velvet jacket (picked by my aunt) what was I ever thinking of.

Jeans. Tshirts. Runners. Leather jacket. Nothing I'd be embarrassed about wearing today, 20-25 years later. I wouldn't wear the jeans as tight. Skinny jeans look even more daft now they're in fashion. Oh, and a lot of those tshirts are now worn by airheads who couldn't name an album by the bands they're sporting. ;)

Who'd a thunk it? I was two decades ahead of the fashion curve!

I had a pair of these I bought in Japan - the boutique, not the country. I actually wore them to a job interview. I thought I looked the business in them.

Runners with the red LED lights that flashed when you walked

There's a photo of me at 17, wearing patterned tights, denim shorts, a lacy top, a tweed blazer type jacket, and a trilby. I thought I looked fantastic.

Maybe I would have been right, if I'd been a six foot model type. When you're under five foot and look eleven, it's not such an good look.

    Two tone jeans.

Jeans with big logos on the back pockets.

Had no interest in the NFL but had to get mammy to buy me a Washington RedSkins jacket. Actually they could be an ice hockey team for all I know.

A Le Coq Sportif shell suit in summer of '92 I think it was, that was my worst offence and was my choice.

I had a 'lovely' paisley YSL shirt at one point in early 2000's, my cousin wanted to but it off me so it must have been good.

Haven't been forced to wear corduroy or dungarees in over 30 years, thank God. Haven't worn a lumber jack shirt or poloneck in at least 15 years.

Oh man!! I rocked those pants and it was all great till I got the string stuck in an escalator. My mam had to press the emergency button and run off and get a scissors.

Mod Parka, Black drainpipe waffle farahs, DM boots and a white Fred Perry Polo shirt...thought we looked the bomb..and we probably did - the aftermath of one.

Lots of NOPE with that giant smiley cat face. I remember one pair of tracksuit bottoms that had nope literally plastered across the arse.
Parachute pants with all the strings hanging off them.
And then I hit the goth phase......New Rocks, spikes, Manson hoodies.

Still haven't left that last phase entirely tbh, I still fit into my 5th year clothes so wear stuff from then occasionally.
