Chelsea are a complete irrelevance at this point.

If we performed exactly the same, they'd have to win every game and then they still wouldn't catch us...I think.

3 goals and 2 assists in 22 games.

That is poor, that's my point yeah he gets into great positions but what good is that if he can't finish.

Giroud and Welbeck get slated for their finishing but Ramsey is absolved.

He played nearly all them games on the wing

    15 or 16 I'd say.

No my point is we have them coming in the next few games at the emirates don't exactly want them coming back into form

    Ah OK, I get ya.

They'd be up for it anyway I'd say. Crap season or not, 2 wins vrs the league leaders gives you some pride from it.

It's silly season again... Rumours abound that we are bidding to bring Aubameyang in from Dortmund. Also mentions for Chicarito...

Apparently the deal is agreed for the young DM Elneny too, with Rabiot also linked.... A real sense of Deja Vu!

Could we not get a lad with an easier name to spell?

I really really don't want Hernandez. Going through a great stretch of form at the moment, in a league where it's commonplace for strikers to do such a thing, but he isn't anywhere near the player some claim him to be.

Should have signed him if we ever had a chance. Would've fit us brilliantly.

Auba would be an unreal signing imo. The lad is quality and one of the only just about gettable strikers out there that would improve us.

Something I'd love us to go for is to throw a few quid a Real Madrid for Isco and see if they bite, another evening gone where he hasn't got a minute on the ptich tonight. He'd definitely add another creative dimension which we lack in the squad at present, Ozil apart.

Aubameyang would be an incredible signing, and Dortmund said today that no one is irreplacable at the club. That being said, it's January and it's us, so I wouldn't get my hopes up for any huge deals.

The thing is that we need to do business early in the window. A month with a threadbare squad will kill us, and Alexis is the only player of any note that will be back before February.

We need this DM urgently above all signings.
Flamini can't do this role anymore. He's like a 40ft turning now.

Assume Elneny is not cup tied so will be available v Barcelona.

I can't help getting excited about playing them next month. We'll probably get hammered but part of me thinks if we get the breaks we might give them a run for their money.

    COYG!!!

Would love to get him in this week and throw him into the squad for Sunderland game.
If he is as good as we hope then he could be useful for the upcoming games against Liverpool. Stoke and Chelsea.

Arsene wants to unveil a few players at once.

work permit issues are delaying things, should still go through though.

Has anyone in the premiership done any business yet? I think Watford signed a striker on loan from Roma and thats about it, wonder if any of our rivals will splash the cash?

I think that was Bournemouth? City supposed to be interested in Leroy Sane from Schalke but they're looking for huge money for him. Would make him the most expensive German player ever ahead of Ozil.

"Giroud revealed the talk in the Gunners' dressing room is that Mohamed Elneny is a done deal as the Egyptian midfielder is awaiting a work permit before completing a £5m switch from Swiss side Basel." - MirrorSport

    It's scary looking at that.
We really do need to buy in this window. Some of those lads are ageing and might not be the same again. A few will be allowed leave in the summer i'd say.
Another injury or two and we are in dire straights if we don't buy.

Yes Arteta, Rosicky & Flamini will be gone in the Summer I imagine. It would be nice if we could get a couple of their replacements in now and get them to play a part in the season run-in. Not sure how feasible that is though with the 25 man squad thing though?

Hopefully Sanchez comes straight back in and raring to go.

Having him and Campbell/Ox on the wings will be much better as we'll have the attacking sub option of Giroud/Walcott back.

We've been really lucky with our defence (thanks Cech) for the last month or so because if we go behind at the moment, there's no real option to turn things around (see Southampton game).

I really think resting Giroud and starting Walcott or vice versa is the key to us doing well. Neither are the striker we need but between them, they might be.

i would like sanchez to come on as a sub so he will be fully fit for the Liverpool game. then again we have stoke. i pray that these upcoming fixtures we won't have any injuries!

Think we only have 22/23 on the 25-man list.
