Just back from The grainstore @ Darver castle and can really recommend it.

Likewise, I'd recommend Darver Castle. Great food and great service.

The Courthouse Carrickmacross is excellent too, if you want to travel that direction.

I've eaten at the Yacht club in Carlingford a few times, and it was good. Riva in Dundalk was good the last time I ate there, a few months ago

The Yacht Club in Carlingford. (only open at weekends)
    The Windsor in Dublin St.
    Sextons, Dublin Rd.
    Fitzpatricks, Rockmarshall.

    All very good.

    IMO

Gourmet Palace(Chinese) (over Courtney's Park Street)- Excellent.

    Fitzpatricks Rockmarshall - very good.

Fahrenheit Rooftop Restaurant @ The Crown Plaza Dundalk - Excellent.

    Darver Castle - very good.

Callans Hackballscross Dundalk - Excellent for a steak but a bit too "pubby"

Fuchsia House(Indian) Ardee - Excellent.(Is it still open? 2 years since last in it)

    Eno across from St Patricks,

    McGeough's Next door to it.

    Riva in Earl st.

    Windsor in Dublin St.

PJ O Hare's or Gahn House in Carlingford. Gahn is more fine dining.

The Market Bar all the way

Best food in town, central location.

Got a lovely fish and chips there recently for lunch. The big thick chips were the best I ever tasted. Loved the way they did the mushy peas too.

Agree totally with Gourmet Palace. Chinese/Malaysian/Thai food. Very nice, staff were excellent, (after starters they ask if you want a few minutes before mains).
    Takeaway is excellent too.
