Well thinking we should win it by now is a sense of Right to it.

Hoe often I'd acceptable? 1 in 5/10/15 years???

I don't think we should have won it. I never said that. I've said I think we should win it this year. United and Chelsea are a mess atm so it's pretty much between city and us. If we don't win it or make a very good showing of ourselves then another contract shouldn't be coming wengers way.

With the way it's panning out this year, if we don't I have no shame in admitting il have lost faith in Wenger to ever win it.

I'm not answering your question about how many leagues because it's a stupid question. Depends on so many factors

    FFS right on cue!

At this stage hopefully he has a good run when he comes back from injury to get him in the shop window and we sell him for a shedload of cash to Barca. I thought we had lost the constant team "sicknote" when Diaby left, it looks like Wilshire has taken up his mantle!

In the last 7/8 yeaes Liverpool have won 1 trophy League Cup
We've won 2 (excluding community shields) so that's wrong

They won an Fa Cup in 06 and league cup 12 in that time, they won a CL and s Super cup in 05 (I've excluded CS)

In that time we've one 3 fa cups. If they are in a flux for the period so are we

But we get- we should be winning the league here so much... Yet no one seems to quantity it

So what was 7/8 about if you are going to go back and start the year of their last UCL success???

    That's cherry picking

I agree with a lot of posters here, this is our best opportunity in years to win the title. Chelsea are out of the picture completely, Man Utd appear to be in disarray.

This may sound stupid, but say if Man City just about pipped us to the title, I would be extremely disappointed and gutted but I would still be optimistic about next season.
However imagine if this Man Utd team, Leicester, Spurs or Liverpool won the title this season instead of us?? I would be so deflated it would be unthinkable. I don't think I could get over it and would be thinking that Wenger just can't get us a league title ever again.

So basically we have a great chance to win it this year and hope we take it, will be one hell of a fight though.

Yes but in that time we have built a new purpose built stadium and gone through the financial pain after that as well. They still are in the process of expanding their existing ground to the tune of around £300 million.

So just go back to when Liverpiol won the UCL- seems ligit 11 years is a usual period of time for data measurement...

Fully agree but looking at on the field and trophies he's calling Liverpools time as flux but not ours. We are 100% at the cross road this season either we have a really good go or a change is needed

I'm confident Arsene can do it this year though

I'm not as pessimistic as you. Who are they going to buy in January that is going to hugely improve there already impressive squad? Ya can only have 11 players playing at one time. They have invested heavily in players such as De Bruyne, Sterling, Bony, otamendi etc. I don't see what marquee players they will buy in January to dramatically improve on them, who cost a bomb already.

I wouldn't call myself confident but I am very very very hopeful.

Their league position has varied far wider than ours- that's less consistent

They're blown hot and cold in the UCL - that's less consistent

They won 9 or 10 league trophies in that time you think our run of top 4s beat that? Seriously like ??

That makes no sense they have won it 10 times or so in 20 years nobody has been more consistent than that

You can't get much more consistent than 10 or so titles in 20 years. It's called being consistently successful.

ask any fan who the most consistent team of the last 20 years in the PL is and they'll answer Manchester United.
