It'd be a pretty amazing coup to get Pep from under the noses of the other clubs for 2017.. No doubt AW will have a massive say in appointing his succesor.. Time will tell. The club ticks most of the boxes he'd presumably be after. Stability, established playing style, Location.

Why take a player back we don't need! If we are going to spend the money on a new player I'd rather one that addresses the actual needs of the team.

    Like Matic.

    Get him from chelsea!

    Never heard this story before:

"One of Highbury's more light-hearted football moments took place in 1972.
Arsenal were hosting Liverpool on September 16, when linesman Dennis Drewitt pulled a muscle and was unable to continue.

FA rules state that the match could not be completed without a referee and two linesmen, so the game was in danger of being abandoned.

The matchday announcer put a message over the loudspeaker asking if anyone was a qualified referee and would volunteer to run the line. Out of the crowd came none other than TV pundit Jimmy Hill!

Jimmy was a qualified referee and had been at Highbury that day as a spectator. He quickly donned a tracksuit and stepped in for the injured Mr Drewitt.

The match ended in a 0-0 draw, but will forever be remembered for the antics of Jimmy Hill."

Everyone keeps saying they will fade away but at what stage do Leicester become credible title contenders?
Must admit I love watching them play

Does that mean the only team to beat Leicester in the league was Arsenal?

Now, the big question. Watch MOTD, or do something better with my time? Sucks when we're not on it.

Ha, Arsene is a bit like his fiercest critics. He remembers the defeats much more than the victories!

Terrible. I thought we were rid of him and his stupid circus.

Just hope the "attack attack attack" United fans are okay with it.

Although him vs Pep could be fun. Wish they'd both p*ss off to Spain, though.

Also wonder how the Chelsea fans who booed their own players today will feel about it.

Finally, I think we are getting something special together, so unlike in previous years, I'm not afraid of either of them. Bring it on, punks.

It's stuff like this that leads me to believe the Wenger sends the players without a proper game plan and let's the players go out and do their own thing. You have to accept that the player has to make a decision on the pitch in a fraction of a second, and you have to accept that the game belongs to the players. You can educate them to make the right decisions but once they are on the pitch they are the ones who have to make the decisions.

Football is complicated because it’s 11 against 11 and you have a billion different situations possible

If Mourhino does go to United I think he will do untold damage to them. Mata might be available for cheap in Jan though ;)

Is this still a thing? Look at our big game successes over the past year, and the way we won them, and try saying that Wenger doesn't deserve any credit for them with a straight face.

The exact opposite argument could be made for our very bad losses over the last few years.

It seems that recent results are bucking the trend, but before that there were certainly more really bad results than really good ones.

He will indeed, and very likely win nothing along the way because Guardolia at City will hoover up.

Fast forward two years, the air in old Trafford will be poisonous, Utd will be out of the CL and he'll be sacked.

They'll be in exactly the same position.

I guess Arsene has just confirmed what we already knew.

Amazing the length of time he's been out, it's long enough for a ACL reconstruction injury, but I'm pretty sure it was only a cartilage issue? Bizarre.

Well, Munich have just confirmed that he will leave, and that he'll be replaced by Ancellotti. That's messed up Man U and Chelsea's plans IMO!
