Sign me up!!! I'm a glutton for punishment. Btw I will be selling tickets to watch me do it as the comedy and tragedy will be well worth it. Will guarantee you'll split your sides laughing or you're dying at the horror and struggle. I think it's got potential to be a best seller :D

You'll do elements of this during your training, at least we did. All good fun!

Trust me when I say the PT sessions are evil. I've never been the fittest person but thought I was of a decent standard when I went in. Soon realised I was wrong! But they work. I knocked about 40 seconds off my PCA time by the end

It depends on how well you do in the assessment centre, the higher your score the quicker you're called for progression to PCA and medical.

Also depends when your AC is too. If you're at the start of the dates youll have to wait even longer. Plus there's always the dreaded budget cuts etc which can effect how quickly you progress. I just checked, I got my results for my C2 AC on 16 December 2014 and I'm still waiting on my PCA.

Patience is the key, if you keep your fitness at a decent level it won't be too hard to improve it in the run up to the PCA plus you usually get at least 6 weeks notice . You can never be too fit for the PCA :D

Silly question guys but has anyone of you completed the PCA whilst having a dose of the flu? I'm not making excuses I swear! Lol

Did mine in November, everybody was full of it. After the PCA, there was more barking than Battersea dogs home. I felt crap, but it's only 3 mins of pain, you'll be fine.

Take the chance and do it. Plus if you fail it this time at least you get to repeat it. You've got a little while to get the cold and flu remedies into you lol. Good luck my lovely

Anyone been given PCA dates for the 1509 campaign yet? I've gone and injured my knee at work and my 1405 PCA was real soon, going to have to pull out of it. 6-8 weeks recovery the doc reckons, I'm off work now as well. Just wanting to know that I hopefully have time for to recover before the 1509 PCAs start. (Being hopefull I pass the AC too).

I don't think anyone has had any invites yet.

We probably still have a good few weeks before they are sent out and then a few weeks notice before actual PCA dates, so you should be grand.

Google the post code, go by that and the road name, I can't remember the name of it but about half way up that road you'll see the big fence! I had the same problem

Seriously have yourself and Ryan not been watching and listening to the news lately?! Putting up dates and location of the pca is well extremely stupid! It may sound harsh but I'm really annoyed to see this. Not only are you putting yourself at risk with location and date but you are putting EVERYONE else at risk by posting that!!!

These forums are watched by the PSNI and those who want to kill security forces!

I don't understand why you put your date up and I don't understand why someone else put the location up. You are warned in all letters not make things public and yet here is two potential constables putting up the day and location for all to see. If you don't care about your own safety and security least care about your fellow candidates who haven't broadcast it for all to see.

Get this place reopened again :D

My fitness has dropped recently so it's nice to have a real reason to go after it.

Me to! I had all intentions of getting up this morning and going for a run before work. Did not happen. Keep thinking we probably still have plenty of time.
