Leaving Cert Higher English ~ Advice & Tips

    Hi everyone!

I am really annoyed about English as no matter what I do, my grade doesn't seem to improve. I got my Christmas exam result back today which was 79% which isn't bad, but I got an A in the Junior Cert and am hoping to achieve the same again in Leaving Cert.

My teacher is always saying that my expression isn't the best and should be better and that my opening and closing paragraphs could be stronger. :(

Can anyone please advise me on what I should do to be a "good" English student and get that grade up to an A?

Thanks for any help or suggestions :D

I find reading sample essays really helps

Read quality books, novels from a variety of authors and time periods. Read a number of styles. Then read some more.
