    Thank God for that.

Just delighted to get out of that game with the win. Wasn't convincing defensively, but I'll take it. Will have to improve defensively as a team as we were carved apart by Sunderland a few times.

Our defence has been poor for a long time now.

Ozil #10 with Ramsey B2B gives us our best shot at the league. Ramsey was rusty today but improved as the game went on.

Ramsey definitely gave us something extra going forward even if he was a little rusty today. Flamini is a problem though, I actually like him but he plays way to high up the pitch. He needs to sit right back and help the defence more.

Great day though. Ahead of United and City now. Just two off the best team in the league.

A win is a win, and it was badly needed. But that's as shambolic a performance as i've seen in a long time, huge gaps in the midfield and defense.

Ozil was the only player to show any authority and confidence.

Delighted with 3 points and to put November behind us. A win was the most important thing today.

With results and injuries a win was vital today to lift things a bit

    I'm so relieved!

3 points in the bag now onto Wednesday with the same result

Poor performance but second half we were better

Defensively were a shambles, can't put in a defence performance like that again we will be took to the cleaners

That sounds like something you might do in Football Manager, but in reality, it won't work. Cazorla is far more consistent, and retains the ball much better. Who's going to do that in a Ramsey-Coquelin midfield? This feels like you're selectively ignoring the last 12 months and are just looking at November.

Disagree slightly I thought the coq/Cazorla partnership looked very very dodgy when Ramsey wasn't beside them

Wouldn't disagree with that but Ramsey bombing forward with only Flamini behind him is a recipe for disaster against any decent team.

You could see how big of a influence Santi is after today. We were so frantic in the middle, with little to no composer or calm.

Ramsey will do the job for now but Santi will be a big loss.

I'd argue go out and find a better ball playing DM to partner Ramsey

giroud scoring for both sides. see that's why we shouldn't slate any other player. he redeemed himself. Ramsey finally got his goal so can he not try those spectacular shots and just score normal goals :D

    Theo pushed ramsey's celebration lmao!

3-1 victory and I'm more concerned about our season now than I was before kickoff.

Shambles of a game today but League position is all that counts so I can't complain.

Ramsey and Coquelin have only ever played together in CM 3 times, they won 2 of those. Nobody's 'ignoring 12 months', they've barely even been tried together.

I'm seriously uncomfortable in putting our eggs in a Coquelin/Cazorla partnership that needs Ramsey to play RW, who in turn needs Bellerin to play RB to overlap. We don't have the inury record to sustain that.

Fitness permitting, Ramsey is going to get a lot of time in the middle. Hopefully his composure will improve. He'll never have Santi's close control but he could make more than an adequate replacement especially if he becomes a regular goalscorer like he did a couple of seasons back.

This explains it better than I did

It also didn't help that Ox was invisible most of the match. Walcott looked sharp which is good.

I didn't feel like our defense was the problem, it was giving the ball away cheaply when on attack, and giving them a chance to break.

Agreed, Ramsey does add a lot to the team. But I can flip that on its head, there was zero composure in our midfield today bar Ozil. What does Coquelin-Ramsey do to fix that?

If we have Alexis and Ozil, I think we can have Rambo central.

No a better ball playing DM beside Ramsey will though

Same here but I don't get control of the TV any more.

Instead I get to watch Alvinn and the Chipmunks.
