McNair taken off yet again, he was rubbish so I'm assuming its because of performance rather than injury. Here are my posts from last season and a few months ago:
I think McNair just has too much variance in his performances to be considered a top quality prospect. Its not very often you see a player taken off in the first half of a Premier league game for being a complete liability but thats happened a few times with McNair now, and a top level defender simply cannot afford that level of inconsistency.
Paddy McNair concerns me, even for a rookie he has such massive swings in performance level and you just cannot afford that at this level.

Nothing has changed regarding my opinion of him, the problem now is that with a much reduced squad we cannot afford to carry a player like this.

10 first half attempts, 0 on target

64% possession and 1 shot on target my app reads

    Sigh

My flight got cancelled so can't watch the match at the moment.

Is it worth me watching the match when I get to internet.
I have a big bottle of gin and doughnuts if that helps.

Seems like it's just been the usual?

United are creating chances but nothing happening.

I will go for a 0-0 draw as the result.

Tough watching this, could go either way. West Ham could score on the break or United might sneak one, build-up slow as usual. Hoping West Ham tire seems the tactic :)

1 from 19 shots on target. Log can't be blamed for the players being woeful at finishing

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,690 ✭✭✭ElChe32

Can we send the entire team to Mike Smalling's sports psychologist? Utterly blunt in attack, slow sideways passing. Rubbish.

    Process me hole.

Im getting fair sick of these displays

I can forgive rubbish style of play if we're winning but we cant even do that now

    Somthing has to give

Yep. We actually played some good stuff in attack at times. Created more than enough to score a couple of goals but the players missed easy chances.

A must win game, not won. No excuses the players should hang their heads in shame, I know, I know, I am supposed to blame the manager and mock his phrases etc and there will be plenty of that done over the next 48 hours by plenty of users don't worry.

Today the players let themselves, the fans and the manager down. They wasted opportunity after opportunity to win that game. It is not good enough and they need to sort this **** out.

Now let the manager bashing begin.

All one can say after that is, we gained on city...

Could have lost, could have won.

I think the philosophy has run its course. I wouldn't be mad if we got rid of LVG as this team is just cowardly at the moment.

I mean, thats not a manager problem today. Thats a problem with players not being able to finish a shot from 6 yards out. Several players got shots at point blank range and scuffed them. Too many passengers in attack. Get a proper #10 and a proper right winger in behind Martial and beside Memphis, and we're flying. But Mata and Lingard just aren't good enough, nor is Fel.

So many chances, just pathetic finishing. Martial, Fellaini, Lingard and Mata all had great chances to score.
Of course the narrative will be that Louis doesn't let them attack.

Out of all our 0-0's, that was our best.

I would agree if we haven't had 5 0-0 in the last nine. So it is the managers fault. He got rid of RVP and Hernandez.

Fellaini doesn't offer anything to this team, and I will never understand why or how pundits/commentators/fans never notice or talk about how awful Michael Carrick is when United don't have the ball, I lost count of how many times players ghosted past him, he didn't track runs, zarate missed that awful sitter after Carrick never got within 5 yards of him and then left him free to run in on goal!

You're talking about the West Ham players right? Because we should have lost that game.

Didn't even watch the match....but going on what's been posted lindgard missing a ball of chances yet again. Repeat my points from last week. We don't have that world class striker anymore

and Nani, Zaha and loaned out James Wilson.

All for buttons too... Replace them with better players if you're going to shape up the squad that much
