Question about failing a subject

    So, in short, if I am doing the generic science degree and fail subject x but don't take it up in second year anyway, is it still possible to progress to second year?

    You need to at least pass by compensation as far as I know. So you need to get 25% at least on average across that subject and do well on your other subjects.
