Did you read that they wrote? People accuse socialists of living in a fairy tale, that may be very true, but the very same can be said for most warhawks. They'll keep on looking to the terrorists, who are idiots and write offs, while many blame every Muslim on earth. All while their leaders are selling billions worth of weapons. If the governments are as cut up as they claim, they'd stop this in an instant. And don't give me crap about jobs and co, doesn't stop job losses all over the place elsewhere being replaced by computers. The UK is a trillion pound economy, the UK doesn't need these sales. Maybe people in the UK elite do.

No, what I see is a consistent trend with those who are going out of their way to use hyperbolic language towards Western states and putting blame on them flat out refuse to except that Islam is also an issue in this or that there is any inherent risk in letting refugees into the EU.

I’d be open to looking into cutting weapon sales but at the same time it could also further destabilise the area. At this stage there is so much military tech in the Middle East that the horse has already bolted, I really don’t think it’s a key issue in moving towards a resolution.

I don't really care. It's become an empty word because its thrown around without a thought.

As for the book, that's not really my point. The bible is full of nasty stuff too, but Islam was invented by a guy who would feel right at home with IS. That guy is the problem. That guy is why IS are motivated to commit acts such as burying children alive. It's exactly what Mo would do.

I haven't read the book, have you? Guess it's up to how you perceive it's contents. I imagine the majority of websites people visit, relating to Mohammed are complete and utter shít.

Since when has Ireland held so many fcuking experts on religion???

Was he just the ruler of a medieval kingdom? How did Jesus deal with traitors for the sake of comparison?
Jesus was never the ruler of a political entity, Jesus never had to fight wars, make alliances, negotiate treaties and deal with treason from allied tribes.

So it's all the fault of Russia, China, UK, US and France then?
I did explain why. I did explain why its impossible to do anything while these countries exercise their veto and at the same time sell weapons to terrorists. So while I sympathize with France do you think they are being pinpointed out of an arbitrary move. They have been selling weapons into an already volatile situation for decades.

But you have argued that Assad is the democratic President of Syria and we should back him, have you not?

Yes we should support the Citizens of Syria who have elected President Assad as their President. Anything less is appeasing the ISIS extremists. Many of the terrorists are part of an International Jihadi army, so that means they are not Syrians.

You may not like the result does not stop that being an election. I suppose you sympathise with the death to Alawite brigades or the other so called opposition that is financed by the west.

How legitimate is an election taken during war time, under threat of polling stations being bombed, boycotted by the opposition where polling did not even take place in the majority of the country? An election which according to the UN lacked independent monitoring?

According to Muslim historians, when Abu Sufyan went to seek peace with Muhammad, he was instead forced to embrace Islam. The exact words spoken to him in Muhammad's presence were, "Submit and testify that there is no God but Allah and that Muhammad is the apostle of Allah before you lose your head" - (Ibn Ishaq/Hisham 814). He did.

In hadith studies, ibn Isḥaq's hadith (considered separately from his prophetic biography) is generally thought to be "good" (ḥasan) (assuming an accurate and trustworthy isnad, or chain of transmission) and himself having a reputation of being "sincere" or "trustworthy" (ṣadūq).

Islam has been in dire need of a Gandhi figure, since its inception.

    We can only hope.

Some people in Syria are attempting to "rebel pacifically" against Daech.
    Brave brave people.
The protesters got arrested, but another protest is planned for a later date.
A group of young men were recruited by IS, supposedly for training in Charia law. In fact they were sent to combat in the North Alep province, and many were killed. Residents of Manbij are also protesting that rules are too strict.

In other news, a group of Imams in Paris sang La Marseillaise near the Bataclan.

That UN lacked independent monitoring you cited is a pretext for Western involvement in the affairs of another Muslim Arab country. They can hold their own elections and supply their own security. What would smoothen relations with the west would be sending in peace troops to Hebron which is currently in a state of conflict between Israeli's and Palestinians. The Syrians don't need lesson on security from the UN that have ignored the plight of the inhabitants of the West Bank.

Two people read a book, both have a different opinion on what should be done. It's not a difficult concept.

How do you feel about old men who have sex with their slaves and are perfectly prepared to burn their own son alive?

    Are they ok with you?

People you don't need to keep coming out saying I oppose murder, rape or war. It is becoming a little tedious at this stage. Not a lot of people do support scummy ideas like these.
