Should this thread title not be changed to "murders in Paris"?

If it is confirmed that at least some of the attackers were refugees then there are a few European leaders whose political future will be very much in doubt, Merkel in first place. That may be unfair, given the impossibility (both moral & practical) of doing nothing in the face of the ME/Maghreb crisis but I doubt a traumatised electorate will see it that way.

Yep, this is a game changer politically. Merkel in particular is going to be under a huge amount of pressure.

Pastor McConnell was right and the left and the Muslims tore into him.

Where is the condemnation from these same Muslims? Hasn't the pastor been vindicated?

How many refugees are supposed to be arriving in the ROI? Some are arriving in Derry soon and all it is going to do is cause huge tension and fear. We don't have a clue who these people are and we are just inviting them in without any proper checks and accountability?

Not sure what the point of this comment is, are you criticizing the people running for their lives?

No i am criticizing certain brainwashed terrorists

I didn't jump to any conclusions about you mate, nor do I lack knowledge. This is an English language forum and subsequently words here carry their English language meaning. You can try to dress it up with any variety of rubbish that you so choose but the fact remains that here we are speaking in English. Different words have different meanings in different settings and the meaning of the word Fuhrer in an anglophone setting is clear.

The only thing ugly on here are those manipulating the tragic circumstances of last night to pursue a racist crusade.

Those spouting ignorant inbred rubbish about how all Muslims are somehow guilty for what happened last night really ought to read the article on page 6 of The Daily Mail today "The Angelic Boy Who Grew Up To Be A Monster" and pay attention to what the devout Muslim father of Jihadi John told his son when he told him he was going to Syria:

"Not even his parents will mourn Jihadi John's death.

'He is a dog, an animal and a terrorist', said father Jassem Emwazi. He described how his son had asked for his blessing to travel to Syria - and said he had responded: 'F*** you, I hope you die before you get there'".

All Muslims same... yeah right .

No one is saying all Muslims are the same. What you say is just further evidence for the argument that the younger generation of Muslims are more extreme than their parents. That anecdote is also bourne out in the statistics.

As for people pursuing a crusade? Enforcing border control is not an act of aggression.

If anyone is starting a crusade it's ISIS. You can't just ignore it until it goes away.

I don't get this. We were told this wouldn't happen.

Loads of people telling us this would happen and how. Good job with the media war. o/

The scary thing about these attacks is now that they are targeting sports events and music events too, one of the attacks happened at Bataclan during a Eagles of Death Metal concert, so sports fans and music fans are also looked at, as infidels. What next, an attack on Glastonbury or Coachella festival or Wimbledon.

    http://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-34814203

They are targeting mass gatherings with weak or relaxed security measures. They'd attack a gardening festival or crufts if it gets the media attention they want

    Christ..

Please don't let them come to Northern Ireland, thanks.

Sure it was only 2 weeks ago that Ryan Tubs was clapping and cheering the Irish navy for picking up so called refugees with no talk at all of the problems its going to cause and then shocked last night when he heard of the attacks, the man is so deluded by his p.c nonsense its scary.

Everyone who was shouted down as a fear monger and racist has been vindicated. Time for the sympathisers to take a back seat. You can't be wrong about everything so far and still continue to set the agenda.

IS will continue with mass casualty attacks on "infidels" "kuffir" "idolaters" "rejectionists" "prostitutes" (their word in their statement on France) etc etc. they are religious extremists who believe they act in the name of Allah the all merciful.

They don't care what event you are at. Beirut, Baghdad, Paris, Madrid. You are simply a target so that they can advance sharia and the Caliphate.

Europe is going to change because of this threat. It is now inescapable for politicians.

Him and his like are creating a very dark phase in European history and don't know what they are dealing with. No matter what anyone says, they are not the same as us.

They come from a very different region and a way of life which is at complete opposites to us in the West. People will say it's not everyone but not every German supported the Third Reich but they still had enough support to put them into a position of power.

Inviting people you don't have a clue about who come from a completely different way of life and socially different, it is just looking for trouble.

So sad but French support for a little very powerful despicable American propped up entity in the Middle East that has stolen land and terrorised it's neighbours, slaughtering 2,200 ruthlessly as recently as last year and slaughtering another 1,200 in 2009, and steals land today as it has done continually since 1948, now needs to be revised.

Are you making some sort of correlation between Israel and what happened in France last night or is it my imagination.

Do you just wait until something like this happens just to have a pop at Israel ?

"But why aren't they being nice to us? We were nice to them when we opened our borders and allowed them in indiscriminately "

Closing borders and preventing an inflow of people from areas that export a lot of people who hate our very existence isn't racism, it's logic.

The sad reality is that this was always going to happen so long as people who are committed to an ideology that promises eternal reward for killing unbelievers are in turn given unrestricted access to societies they see it as their mission to destroy. Whether we accept it or not, agree or not, these people are currently waging war in their homelands and bringing this war to ours.

ISIS promised this would happen while Europe squabbled and debated over how to handle the "refugees", and last night/today they have proven to be willing and able to carry out their threats.

The time for debate and hand-wringing is over. It's time to take decisive action. Step 1 would be to close the open doors and ferry service to the entry points of Europe. Step 2 would be start drawing up plans for a similarly swift and decisive response on the leaders of this campaign. FFS we're reading for months about how the NSA and other spy agencies can track everything we do - damn sure they can find those responsible.

They're not brainwashed. They're soldiers like that of any other army and like any army they believe they are right. Time to stop dismissing these people as madmen. Brainwashing is an extremely difficult process that involves quite a bit more than a few youtube videos. They haven't been brainwashed by Islamists. They've simply been recruited. That's the worrying thing.

Do you have any proof of this, and if so - what kind of threads were they? Because if they were anything like some of the posts in this thread, then you pretending to be deleted is ridiculous and disingenuous at best.

I'm not inclined to take you on face value by the way, due to the also disingenuous nature of posting about the "deafening silence" on a forum that has had exactly zero posts in over a week, on absolutely anything.

Poland has said today it will not take any of the refugees it signed up to take a few weeks ago.
People here need to voice there concerns loudly that we must do the same.

Is the act of tossing explosives into an audience of civilians at a rock concert in the name of a being whos existance is unproven with the belief that you will go to a happy place and copulate with virgins a sane act?

Yeah I mean it's quite obvious when you look at it really; in order to strike at Israeli settlers predominately from Russia and the former Eastern bloc but backed diplomatically by the United States you quite obviously need to attack France...

La Capitale is reporting that at least 2 of the terrorists came from Molenbeek in Belgium.

People in Belgium have been saying for years that in parts of Brussels muslim youth are being radicalised, and it always fell on deaf ears by politicians.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 33,775 ✭✭✭✭RobertKK

Given one of the terrorists passed through Greece in October as a Syrian refugee, the question now is how many more terrorists have entered Europe?

These people last night were highly trained and organised, so there must be a lot of worry over who entered Europe during the past number of months.

Are you telling me that these cowards are soldiers?
Do they follow the geneva convention in warfare then?
And if fanatics isnt brainwashed, then why does terrorism even exist?

    Fair enough.
Why you think i would randomly make this up I cannot fathom but seeing as everybody is snapping at everyone else for the slightest thing on this topic Im guessing youre as caught up as the rest.
I just think its really odd that absolutely diddly squat in the way of discussion is happening. I'll see if i can figure out a screen grab from the work computer.
