Isn’t it interesting that the tragedy in Paris took place in one of the toughest gun control countries in the world?
Scary to think this barbaric ape could be the most powerful man in the world shortly.

Why aren't sky news reporting this? There's already been pics of the fire.
Because it isn't true, seems to be the reason. The BBc said there was a fire there a week ago, which they reported, (accidental) and that people are reusing the images.

My own opinion on that : anyone guilty of transmitting false information likely to lead to further harm (that's how pogroms start) should face a possible prison sentence. And that includes idiots like you.

Photos from the early parts of the coordinated attacks.

Haven't gone through them fully yet, so can't confirm if there's any gore, but probably safe to assume they're NSFW.

Reports that "Safety Check", a Facebook app launched a few weeks ago to help survivors of the earthquakes in Pakistan & Afghanistan is being used for the first time in France (possibly in Europe?) to help people in the affected zones let their friends know that they've reached a place of safety. Everyone with a smartphone & FB app in the affected areas has received a message asking them to confirm they're ok.

If I could I would disband all religions. All through history they have been so misinterpreted and twisted to cause people to turn on their fellow human being for the sake of some belief in an imaginary friend....totally sickening

    Or Jehova's Witnesses ?

The argument isn't really about safety - it's about giving yourself the power to defend yourself and, should you find yourself in a situation like tonight, you won't be like a lamb to the slaughter.

It's the powerlessness that terrifies people about situations like this.

But that's the dilemma with all our laws.

As people scoff at deporting all the Muslims in Europe - an attack on the freedom espoused by our society in the name of protecting ourselves from "the savage foreigner", as it were, they have to realise that it's the same logic behind tolerating private gun ownership.

There's an element of risk to any freedom - whether it's allowing people free speech, free movement or the capacity to defend themselves.

There's a cost involved in letting people own guns, but as we can see tonight, when half a dozen pieces of **** have free reign to murder in virtually the center of Western civilization, there are costs to allowing people to live free from being spied on, to enter our countries largely unhindered, to practice their religions and cultural practices without interference (we could be fighting fire with fire and force children into being brainwashed with correct values rather than ones that espouse violence and hatred).

The thing is, living is dangerous. We've become totally sheltered from the big bad world because within our nations, in the homogeneous parts of our Western countries, things are pretty nice. But in reality every second we live in a free country we're fighting a battle against someone or other - like the vermin responsible for tonights attacks.

Everyone is quite safe, despite the scale of tonights attacks but there's always a risk that the freedom you have will be exploited by someone else to do you harm for some bull**** reason that has nothing to do with you.

Poor time to raise the point but he's right, if you see a gun wielding jihadist on the news the chances are it's a French made gun. They have one of the biggest military equipment production facilities in the world.

According to CNN, at least 390 French citizens are known to be currently fighting on the front line for ISIS, another 185 went and returned to France. Presumably there are more the authorities don't know about it. And obviously everyone who sympathises can't travel, so plenty more would be sympathetic.

So these are not isolated extremists as we keep getting told.

well there's about 5 million Muslims in France, so yeah, they are.

Off topic but in alot of peoples eyes the british army are indeed a terrorist organisation.

Back on topic, this is disgraceful, i cannot believe in Paris the deathtoll is this high, jesus christ.

The western governments need to stop pandering to these scumbags and just go into iraq and wherever else and hunt these groups down once and for all, these groups dont want peace, all they want is dead westerners.
