It most certainly is a problem and those who engage in it are scumbags, but like the spate of mass shootings by young social outcasts in the US, it has a root cause which many simply refuse to acknowledge. If you make people feel like they're not respected as humans, they will not behave like humans. The exact same phenomenon is behind the mass shootings in US schools. I await the hordes of eejits who will regard what I've posted as a defense of the terrorists: It's not. They're scumbags. I've said that before and I have no problem saying it again. But like anything undesirable, there are reasons it exists. And as uncomfortable as it may seem, the disgusting behaviour of our governments in the West is one of those reasons.

To give you an analogy, nobody likes having a rat infestation but one of the root causes of that is bad hygiene, and that's something the homeowner is responsible for.
