It's almost 3 months since I went to my dentist and he told me that he'd be putting me forward for a surgical removal of my impacted wisdom teeth. Does anyone have any idea how long it will be before I'm given some sort of notification that I'm on the waiting list to be treated (going public)?

Where did he send the referral? A recent patient of mine was told that she would wait a year for an assessment in St James Hospital and then treatment would likely be a year later!!
I took the tooth out the following week....!!

I got a wisdom tooth out in the dental holpital a few years ago. I was waiting roughly two years.

To be fair to them, once I was eventually called, they were very good. Very polite and gentle.
