Cancelling a phone bundle

I have a Vodafone landline & broadband bundle which I'm replacing with mobile broadband. It's out of contract so there'll be no penalty.

Someone once told me to have the landline disconnected a certain way so it'd be simpler to reconnect, if required, but I can't remember the details.

Anyone know what this might be and anything else to look out for?

    Thanks in advance

    Just cancel.

Line will be physically wired up for at least 6 months, at which point you may be pulled off the MDF/AXE.

Phone number will be recycled after a year and a day (IIRC).
