When do you put up your Christmas tree?

I love all the glitter and sparkliness of Christmas and I'd have the tree up in October and down in March if I had my way.

I love Christmas, everyone is in better mood and you see the people you love and you have time off. There are no downsides, imo, and putting the tree up is the best part.

What's this Christmas Tree you all speak of?

I guarantee that those who put one up very late don't, won't or can't put much effort into the decorations and the 5 minute effort feels commensurate with the 12 days they have it up for. For those of use that spend 3 full days decorating the house and one full day to remove at the end, we are much more likely to want to get our money's worth for our effort. For instance, the last 2 years I was very late decorating the house due to health reasons. Felt like I was taking the decorations down just after putting them up. All that effort but only 20 days to enjoy the fruits of my labour. This year I'll definitely have them up by the last week of November.

I wouldn't bother with it myself but it was always 2 weekends before Christmas at home when growing up.

Usually around the 21st of Dec. Great time to put it up IMO, since it's Christmas week and it's a great activity to do with the kids very close to Santa actually coming. Can't beat a nice fresh Christmas tree.

    Your guarantee is wrong.

When I was a child, the tree went up around December 22nd/23rd and came down January 4th/5th before we went back to school. Seemed like it was hardly up at all.

Now that I have my own house I put up the tree the first week in December and I really like being able to enjoy it for longer. Plus the cat loves playing with the baubles and watching the twinkly lights and I'd hate to deprive her of that.

Nothing to do with that. I have an eclectic mix of bought hand made decorations, dried orange slices decorated with bows, ribbons, bought cheap decorations, expensive decorations, kids stuff... I take huge pride in putting it all together and making it work. But it's special to me only because it's there for limited amount of time.

Any time after December 1st. The last week of November has a glut of birthdays, and it takes the shine off them if the tree is up.

I love Christmas. My favorite thing about Christmas would nearly be the decorations.
I wouldn't personally put decorations up in November tough. Don't really mind people who do tough.
What I hate tough is when people put up there decorations early and they take them down before the 6th of January.
