Is there much competitive cod played in Ireland? I know there was a tournament held before, but as far as i know it has been stopped. Is there others? Is it just MLG now?

Honestly the scene here is very small i've met a few players on Decerto who were irish and weren't particularly good. The best players to come out of Ireland who have been in major tournaments are McGee, Lucky and Jurd.

Jurd is currently playing for TCM in America and will be playing at the MLG event at X-Games.

But yeah the scene is tiny here.

Yeah its kind of frustrating its not a big community here. The U.K is prob our closest one but is it big there or is it mainly America?

The US is definitely the biggest as it has the most high profile players and the most money available for investment.

The UK is getting bigger but its failing to produce high calibre teams that can challenge the top 3 teams in America and win Big tournaments consistently which doesnt help the cause.

COD in France has a huge following and has some of the best crowds i have ever seen.

BlackOps3 will probably be make or break for competitive COD to make it to the next level of eSports

We are giving it a go this weekend at BroCon in the University of Limerick. While the game might not be at a height competitively, the first step to making it so is to run it, so we are giving it a go for the first time and seeing how it turns out. You can see the full details at the following link:

    http://brocon.info/gaming-at-brocon/console-gaming/

And check out the rest of the site while you are there. There is something for everybody at the con and it is bound to be a great weekend.

Best of luck with it, and I don't mean to bash what ye are doing but you have picked the worst possible game mode for competitive call of duty. Team deathmatch? lol

S&D or hardpoint would have been the way to go. Stick with the mlg ruleset too, that ensures theres nothing op. Maybe too late now but for future reference.

Normally, but I can't get higher than two bars with 3, so it's just not fun.
