My Mrs had neuralgia (constant severe pain in her jaw) a couple of weeks ago, whatever she got as a painkiller reacted in her liver and she started hallucinating about giant mice, talk about a bad trip:eek:

Just back from the GP as I have been battling a cold for the last 2 weeks and developed a nasty cough on Tuesday. Antibiotics for 10 days and steroids for 6.
On a good note sold and delivered (yesterday) the last of the bulls that I reared Spring 2014. No large stock on this farm for the winter other than the 4 cows :)

God l know what you are going through. I'm just about getting over that dose after 3weeks! Antibiotics and steroids also and not an ounce of energy.

Stockwise do you have those 4 cows to rear sucks or are they for fattening?

Oh brought local lad for a spin in the digger. He has special needs and is 22. Came dressed in Jcb gear. Glass bowl broke on filter on way home. 2 hours and a trip to local jcb dealer and he's gone home happy.

Every kid in the town must have called at this stage. I've run out of sweets, it's like feeding bucket fed calves.

Ours used their goggles and swimming hats. We never had that luxury when we were young

Spent the whole day moving cattle. Up at 7AM and only in the door now. Fairly knackered.
Anyway, one weanling took a right turn instead of a left coming out of the yard. He went in under a temporary electric fence. I reckoned he'd make his way back so left him alone. Came back later and cow frantic, no sign of him. Walked the field and there he was at the back of the Fairy Fort just standing there not far from the cow. Thought it a bit strange and went to hunt him back, with only the light of the mobile phone.
That's when I heard what sounded like a branch breaking in the fort. Now the whole thing is overgrown so it couldn't be a large animal. Made the hair stand on the back of my neck. Halloween and all that.:(

Was just out for a walk myself and could hear a chainsaw working away in the distance and dogs hows. Was getting fairly skittish as I took a walk I don't normally take in the dark (Murder and suicide and ghoulish scandal and exorcisms, seriously!!)
Anyway I just arrived home five mins ago and blathered it out to Dad about the weird noises.
''Ah that'd be the Halloween trail they have for the kiddies in the village''

WTF Dad, mind would ya warn me before I go for a walk with the weird noises in the dark.

Started weaning today and the "choir" is in full voice! I think I may sleep at the front of the house tonight because my bedroom window faces the yard

I heard branches like that breaking in an overgrown wood beside us this time last year and thought it was like a fox with a bed tied to his tail going through the bushes . It turned out to be deer the baxtards

Have two boyos that come to eat every day with the cull cows, can get within a few metres of them now. Hope they keep their heads down for the next while!

There was a time I'd be all excited waiting for the 1st.
I'd say it's near 20 year since I've shot on the opening day. I still sorta miss it. I keep telling myself... Next year!
